Colombia
« on: November 02, 2013, 02:56:59 AM »
I hope Dave will consider adding Colombia to this forum list (hint hint). Or at least South America. I think that is the continent most prepared to ride out the collapse. Sure they will feel some pain since it is a global economy we live in. But SA is the most insulated continent. They have an abundance of natural resources : food, energy, minerals, and a population already accustomed to hard times. They will get thru way before most soft North Americans will.
Couple other things. You, or no army, can drive there. Between Panama & Colombia is an impenetrable  60 mile swamp called the Darian Gap. Plus the whole place is full of Roman Catholics. This is the last place an Islamic jihadist would want to be.

A good point to make.  There are gonna be few corners in which to hide when it all blows up.

Come on Dave, give Colombia a shout.  :)
