Current News – 05.01.2018

  •  “Canada is in serious trouble”, this time the moment of truth for Canada’s all important housing market was indeed at hand.

  • The reason?
  • While it had taken banks some time to push up their mortgage rates, they were finally “catching up” and as Bloomberg reported, just in the past few days Toronto-Dominion Bank – Canada’s second largest lender – lifted its posted rate for five-year fixed mortgages by a whopping 45 bps to 5.59% as government bond yields touched their highest levels since 2011 this week.
  • “It’s a big move, the biggest move in years,” s

… and even modest increases in rates would have adversely cascading effects.

  • “The economy has never been as levered as it currently is, and the economy is far more interest sensitive than it has been in the past, to a degree that we don’t have certainty over how each interest rate hike is going to affect Canadian consumers,”  “All we know is it’s going to be painful, but how painful isn’t quite clear.”
  • And here’s why Canada will no longer be able to avoid the troubling reality of rising rates: the country is entering a period in which no less than 47% of existing mortgages need to be refinanced this year versus 25% to 35% typically,
  •  the pain for Canadian homeowners appears unavoidable. According to Statistics Canada, total payments on debt made by Canadian households rose 6.7% in the fourth quarter from a year earlier, and the interest-paid component climbed 9.2%. Those were the biggest gains since the financial crisis.

  •  The homeownership rate for millennials aged 25- to 34-year-old has nearly halved in some regions of Britain, showing that the housing affordability crisis extends far beyond the boundaries of London.
  • , the report was conducted over a two-year investigation of “intergenerational fairness in Britain,” supervised by think tank Resolution Foundation and directed by former universities minister David Willetts. The team discovered that overpriced homes in Britain had forced millennials into “increasingly cramped and expensive rented properties that leave them with a longer commute and little chance of saving for a home.”
  • The figures below show how a collapsing homeownership rate for millennials is much more widespread than thought:

Ownership among 25- to 34-year-olds has plummeted in Greater Manchester from 53% in 1984 to 26% last year. It has fallen from 54% to 25% in south Yorkshire, from 45% to 20% in the West Midlands, from 50% to 28% in Wales and from 55% to 27% in the south-east. In outer London, the proportion has collapsed from 53% to just 16%. Out of 22 regions analysed by the commission, in only one – Strathclyde in Scotland – has home ownership among the young remained stable. It stood at 32% in 1984 and 33% last year, having peaked at 45% in 2002.”

  • Nearly two-fifths of millennials rent by the age of 30, double the rate for Generation X, and almost four times the rate for baby boomers.

  • , this US economic expansion now becomes the outright second longest in history with data going back over 164 years and 34 business cycles.

According to Deutsche Bank’s calculations, at 107 months the current expansion just nudged ahead of the long 1960s expansion, and will beat the 1990s expansion for the title of longest expansion in history if it extends past July next year.

  • the US is now expected to not have a recession any time until Dec. 31, 2028, which would imply that the CBO expects the current expansion to last no less than 234 months (since June 30, 2009), which would make it nearly 20 years long…

  • Markit reports the Manufacturing PMI survey surged to 56.5 (as expected) – its highest since Sept 2014. Output is rising at its fastest pace since Jan 2017 as inflationary pressures intensify dramatically.

However, Williamson leaves the best/worst for last as inflationary pressures are intensifying dramatically…

“Warning lights are being flashed in relation to inflation, however, with factories reporting the strongest rise in prices for nearly seven years. Suppliers are hiking prices in response to surging demand, while tariffs and higher oil prices are also exerting upward pressure on costs.

With the average price of goods leaving factories rising at the fastest rate since 2011, consumer price inflation looks set to accelerate.

  • Trump has decided topostpone decisions about imposing steel and aluminum tariffs on the European Union and other U.S. allies until June 1.
  • The temporary exemptions extended to the EU, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Brazil and Argentina,

Fed’s Evans says no rate hikes needed before mid-2018

Trump Endorses Congressional Term Limits

  •  Trump tweeted Monday in support of imposing term limits on members of Congress after meeting with a group of freshmen lawmakers.
  • Trump proposed a constitutional amendment in the late stages of the 2016 presidential campaign that would limit congressional terms to six years in the House of Representatives and 12 years in the Senate.

  • South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who suggested on Monday that Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize...

  • The summit, thought to be held in “in late may,” will also mark a historically significant moment in US history – as the agreement between the two Koreas marks the first sitting US President to meet with a North Korean Leader, ending decades of failed US foreign policy as the multi-generational regime pursued its nuclear ambitions.
  • Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae-in agreed to finally end a seven-decade war, signing a declaration to pursue thecomplete denuclearization

Mattis says withdrawing US troops from S. Korea may be discussed with allies and North

  • The withdrawal of some 28,000 US troops stationed in South Korea may be on the table in future negotiations between the US and North Korea, US Defense Secretary James Mattis said. Mattis indicated that the continued US military presence in South Korea may become a part of the bargain with the North.

Iran Denies Israeli Strikes on Syria Hit One of Their Bases

  •   overnight Israeli attack on Syria hit Iranian bases and killed “mostly” Iranians. They said the claims were “baseless” and no Iranians were killed at all.The Israeli attacks began Sunday night, with “bunker-busting” missiles hitting arms depots in Hama and Aleppo Provinces. The strikes destroyed some 200 missiles, and killed between 16 and 26 people, according to various accounts.

  •  , Iran’s Foreign Ministry denounced allegations that the Islamic Republic had been carrying on its nuclear program in secret, calling Netanyahu “an infamous liar”
  • Zarif also slammed “the boy who can’t stop crying wolf” as at it again, referring to the “cartoon fiasco” at the United Nations, statingyou can only fool some of the people so many times.”

Up to IAEA to decide if Iran lied & violated nuclear deal – world reacts to Netanyahu’s claims

  • The 2015 nuclear deal with Iran remains a pinnacle of international peace and stability, and it is up to the IAEA to assess whether Tehran violated it, several signatories to the agreement said in response to Israel’s claims.
  • The allegations about Iran’s nuclear program made by the Israeli prime minister during his televised address from Tel Aviv might, in fact, be an argument in favor of the 2015 nuclear accord and not against it, officials from several countries said, reacting to Benjamin Netanyahu’s presentation.
  • EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, who also said in a statement that “the deal was put in place exactly because there was no trust between the parties, otherwise we would not have required a nuclear deal to be put in place.”
  • At the same time, the EU foreign policy chief noted that she found no evidence of Iran’s non-compliance with the deal in Netanyahu’s arguments so far. A similar assessment of the Israeli prime minister’s presentation was given by Eran Etzion, the former Israeli deputy national security adviser, who now heads the Israeli-European think tank called the Forum of Strategic Dialogue. “No ‘smoking gun’ was revealed this evening, nor was it proven that Iran is today developing nuclear weaponry or violating the [nuclear deal] in any other way,” he said in a Twitter post.

Sorry, Bibi: IAEA says there is “no credible evidence” Iran was working on nuclear weapon after 2009

  • The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says it has “no credible” evidence Iran was working on developing a nuclear “explosive device” after 2009 and that the UN’s nuclear watchdog considered the issue “closed” after it was presented in a report in December 2015.
    • Comment: It‘s almost as if Israel WANTS Iran to develop nuclear weapons – or at least to be able to allege that without any framework in place to confirm or deny it. Now why would they want that? Because they need Iran to be the next Iraq or Libya.

James Mattis seeks to waive sanctions for US allies that buy Russian S-400s

  • US Defense Secretary James Mattis is seeking to circumvent potential conflicts with US allies that have purchased Russian military equipment with an appeal to US legislators to relax sanctioning requirements against countries that do so.Mattis told the Senate Armed Services Committee Thursday that “national security exemptions” ought to be injected into the existing Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA), arguing that it is in the US’ long-term interest to avoid such conflicts with its allies.”There are nations in the world who are trying to turn away from formerly Russian-sourced weapons and systems,” Mattis said, arguing that those countries still rely on Moscow to update their existing systems with new technology.”We only need to look at India,

Mattis: US Doesn’t Want to Leave Syria While War Is Ongoing

  • Defense Secretary James Mattis
  • President Trump has expressed support for withdrawing from Syria, but is facing a lot of resistance in the cabinet. Trump had presented the US presence in Syria as about fighting ISIS, and with ISIS virtually wiped out has suggested the rest wasn’t America’s battle.
  • Mattis, however, argued that the US had “won the fight” and now it was up to US diplomats to “win the peace.”

Trump: US doesn’t want to be world’s policeman – Tell that to the Deep State

  •   Trump said in a joint press conference with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari at the White House. He was commenting on a question whether the latter managed to convince him to up the US troop presence in that country.”We’re spending tremendous amount of money for decades on policing the world, and that shouldn’t be our priority. We want to police ourselves. We want to rebuild our country,” Trump said.  if Trump truly wants his words to be more than just that, he needs to pull American troops out of countries halfway around the world and close all the military bases as well.

Reigning in a [RENEGADE]. IT’S HAPPENING!!! #NewQ #QAnon #GreatAwakening #MAGA

And this pleased #QAnon very, very much:

I do believe Q is referring back to the black hat that tried to make contact with him on the boards the other night.

You remember, the one where Q called out his VPN. This set:

Because the consensus seems to be that POTUS and team played a very long con on bad actors here. Remember, Q always said: Disinfo is necessary. So they baited Dems into think Mueller was going after Trump for the longest time.

Remember how mad Q was when it leaked early that Trump wasn’t being investigated? So they had to set up enough of a narrative to make everyone think he was still being investigated.

Q responds with R = 18.

Q then points us to this tweet:

And then he asks us to connect it with the earlier tweet:

, Pompeo just made a major deal in the Middle East.

But… for what, exactly?

US Marines are in Jordan, working with Jordanian Marines. Pompeo just arrived there, signalling the situation is under control.

And we know Clowns and #TheCabal have secret bases all throughout the Middle East…

So… its implied that the Marines are working with the Jordanians to coordinate some kind of military operation – presumably a strike against some kind of base – and then… Pompeo strikes some kind of deal? Like he did in NK?

If the Iron Eagle theory is true… Obama was using that shell company to move money all throughout Iran, and presumably, the Middle East.

So, are the Marines going after Obama’s secret bases in Jordan right now, as a precursor to military operations in Iran?

Whatever is going on, one thing is for sure:

It’s go-time!

Today, We Are CANCELLING The #Apocalypse. #NewQ #QAnon #GreatAwakening

Something has changed…

Huh, that’s out of character for Sen. Graham. Remember, he used to follow around #NoName like a puppy dog – even if he didn’t look entirely happy about it. Almost like NoName had him on a leash…

Looks like someone’s had his strings cut, and is now able to move and act and speak freely.

And then there’s this:

Traitor McNoName knows the end draws nigh for him.

#QAnon comes back with this drop about an hour later, sort of picking up where we left off last night…

We know US and Jordanian Marines ran a joint-operation last night, taking out a [Renegade]-funded base.

Now, it appears the location of that base has come to light:

Some speculate there was Israeli involvement, but Syrian state media says source of blast unclear; pro-rebel news outlet reports facility used to stage attacks on opposition forces

Iranian operators hanging out in Syria. According to Q, this is the “satellite” Iranian facility involved in manufacturing nuclear arms. These were the people Obama was funneling money to, through his little Iron Eagle shell company.

HILLARY had been colluding with the Russians the whole time, literally risking nuclear war and the destruction of our entire nation!

Here are some theories on how this played out

So what are we talking about as the end result here?

Again, look at post 199:

Materials procured from the US.

Smuggled abroad, through various countries.

Money laundered to bad actors, to fund their operations.

Bombs constructed with the ultimate goal being that of the movie, Sum of All Fears:

And a Nuclear False Flag on US soil that could be attributed to Russia and start World War III.

Are you gaining a better understanding of what that all means:

Hillary and Obama LITERALLY sold us out.

They LITERALLY wanted us dead, so that they could profit and remain in control.

Go back to Q drop 570, where he starts going over the 16 year plan to destroy America:

And then there’s this bit of posturing:

Q says they’re saving Israel for last,

We are saving Israel for last.

, Q  addresses the “Bibi” Question:

And you can be sure he’s negotiating something big.

As for the EU, they want us to remain in the Iran deal because they get a cut of all that cash!

Billions of dollars – very hard to trace – were flowing in. 5% of of 1.7 billion is 85 million dollars.

But… that begs the question. Iran wasn’t just giving money away to EU nations for nothing. Something was being exchanged. What did Iran get out of the deal, and what did EU nations get?

The EU were cover for the shipment of these nuclear materials.

Our leaders sold us out.

Foreign leaders plotted to wipe us out.

Bibi’s live “powerpoint” presentation?

You better believe this is a HUGE deal, and a result of Netanyahu meeting with Pompeo.

As an anon put it:
