  •   MPs voted to limit the government’s ability to use the threat of a ‘no deal’ Brexit as a cudgel to coerce MPs into backing May’s deal, while the “Grieve Amendment” (sponsored by Tory MP and former Attorney General Dominic Grieve), passed on Wednesday, requires May to call a vote on a “Plan B” Brexit deal within three days should she lose a vote next week on her deal.

  • One week after Apple stock crashed when the company cut its revenue guidance for the first time in 16 years, today it’s the retailers fault to pull the rug from under investors when first Kohl’s then Macy’s slashed guidance following weak holiday spending, crushing the narrative of the “strong consumer.”
  • Macy’s also reported that November and December owned comp sales were up 0.7%, also missing expectations.

  •  UK car registrations just fell at their sharpest rate since the financial crisis, the sharp plunge of auto sales in China has also continued: retail sales of passenger vehicles – which include sedans, MPVs, mini-vans and SUVs – in China fell a whopping 19% in 2018 to 2.26 million units.

  • In addition, SUV retail sales also fell 18.9% year over year to 965,772 units.
  • China is spearheading what is shaping up as a painfully anemic year for the industry around the world. The automobile industry in China has been crippled, partly as a result of this trade war, partly due to the ongoing domestic economic slowdown in the mainland, and absent major subsidies – which don’t appear to be coming – the outlook for 2019 is not promising.

Federal Reserve’s Powell predicts no recession in 2019

  • Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, one of the nation’s top economic policymakers, predicted the economy is not going to plunge into a deep downturn this year.
  • “I don’t see a recession” in 2019, Powell said Thursday in an interview at The Economic Club of Washington D.C. “The U.S. economy is solid and there’s good momentum going into this year.”
  • “The principle worry I would have is global growth,” Powell said, but he added: “I still think the mostly likely baseline case for China is another year of solid growth.”
  • The Fed chair, who has been publicly criticized repeatedly by President Trump in recent months, warned that if there is an “extended shutdown,” it would have an impact on the economy that “would show up in the data very clearly.”

Collusion with… Ukraine? NY Times corrects its bombshell ‘Russiagate’ report

  • It was supposed to be a slam-dunk proof of “collusion” with Russia: President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort shared polling data with a “Kremlin-linked oligarch,” the NY Times reported. Except he hadn’t.
  • Documents submitted by Manafort’s lawyers in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s “Russiagate” probe, unsealed Tuesday, were redacted improperly and showed that Manafort was in communication with Konstantin Kilimnik, a Russian-Ukrainian whom the FBI has “assessed” has “connections” with Russian intelligence based on where he went to college in the 1980s.
  • That was old news, however, so the Times needed something even more bombastic: citing an anonymous source described as “a person knowledgeable about the situation,” the paper reported that Kilimnik passed the data on to Oleg Deripaska, “a Russian oligarch close to the Kremlin.”
  • “This is the closest thing we have seen to collusion,” the Times quoted Clint Watts, one of the professional Russiagate alarmists. And then… oops.
  • On Wednesday, the Times corrected the story: Manafort wanted the information sent not to Deripaska, but to “two Ukrainian oligarchs, Serhiy Lyovochkin and Rinat Akhmetov.” In the edited article, the two are described as people who had “financed Russian-aligned Ukrainian political parties that had hired Mr. Manafort as a political consultant.”
  • The very same anonymous person quoted about Deripaska is also the source for the claim that some of the polling data shared with – well, whoever – was “developed by a private polling firm working for the campaign.”
  • Even as the Times was trying to correct its own record, Trump’s critics in the media-political sphere were picking up the original story and running with it. Senator Mark Warner (D-Virginia), ranking member on the Intelligence Committee and one of the driving forces of Russiagate on Capitol Hill, echoed the quote Watts gave to the Times almost verbatim on CNN, declaring that “This appears as the closest we’ve seen yet to real, live, actual collusion.”
  • If a semi-retracted New York Times story, relying on an unreliable anonymous source and mistaking Ukrainians for Russians, is the “closest” thing to proof of collusion, perhaps there is no ‘there’ there after all.

  • Under the federal tax code, the chairmen of Congress’s tax committees can request tax returns from Treasury and review them in a closed session. The committees could then vote to release a report to the full House or Senate, making some or all of the returns public.

  • Senator Graham told reporters Bill Barr and Robert Mueller have been ‘best friends’ for 20 years and that Barr has a ‘high opinion of Mueller.’

Lindsey Graham let it out that Robert Mueller and Attorney General nominee Barr are good buddies. Was this planned, why would Trump do this?

Now Muellers investigation has to do with what, matters relating to Trump, the 2016 election and Russian Collusion. Now Mueller receives alot of info that has nothing to do with this, where are these then sent to the DOJ

As per Q General Flynn is now testifying is some other matter, that has nothing to do with Trump, Russia and the Election.

The Judge postponed Flynn’s sentencing because of this.

Q has told that Flynn know where the bodies are buried, remember he  worked for the DIA and has the information about OBama, Clinton and Mueller, this is the reason they went after Flynn

So the DS wanted him removed but the testimony was referred to the DOJ, he had information and they were forced to hand it over

Can Mueller stop Flynn, no he cannot because it is out of his hands, remember Trump brings in people for a specific reason to do the job, do you think Graham mentioning this was a coincidence, no it was not

Schumer wants Trump to drop Barr, Graham is making it look like Barr will not intereput Mueller in any way, Will Barr be confirmed, we don’t know at this point

Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein Will Exit DOJ After Mueller Submits Report, Likely Mid-to-late February…

  • Reports from inside the DOJ to allied resistance media announce that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will leave the DOJ once special counsel Robert Mueller (the team, not the person) submits their investigative report on Russian interference in the 2016 election.
  • Back in  December we talked about the possible timeline, so here it is again:
  • The first event is the congressional use of Michael Cohen for a series of public committee hearings. [Oversight (Elijah Cummings) and possibly -though less likely- Judiciary (Nadler) and HPSCI (Schiff)]
  • Boom

Michael Cohen to testify to CongressDonald Trump’s former lawyer has implicated the president in campaign finance crimes. He will testify on Feb. 7.

  • The second event is the release of the Team Mueller political report which, despite its inability to find criminal wrongdoing, will most certainly be written with highly charged innuendo as damaging to President Trump as possible. The release of this report will absolutely fuel several public committee hearings [Oversight/Reform (Cummings), HPSCI (Schiff) and Judiciary (Nadler)] without any doubt.
  • The third event is the release of the OIG Horowitz report on possible FISA abuse. Due to the nature of Mueller’s proprietary investigative blackout (Horowitz not allowed to  see investigative material or witnesses with Mueller probe ongoing), the Horowitz report will  likely come out *after* Mueller.

Jordan renews call for Rosenstein to testify

  • Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the ranking Republican member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, renewed his call on Wednesday for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to testify before Congress following reports from multiple news outlets stating that he will resign in the coming weeks.
  • Jordan, in a sharply worded statement, demanded that Rosenstein explain to Congress a report from The New York Times late last year that claimed Rosenstein spoke to associates about the possibility of wearing a wire to record President Trump without his knowledge.
  • The American people have a right to know if the Deputy Attorney General plotted to wear a wire to secretly record the President with the goal of removing him from office,” Jordan wrote, referring to the Times report which also claimed that Rosenstein had broached the possibility of invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.

  • A Seattle Q13 Fox employee has been placed on leave after a disturbing “deepfake” video of President Trump aired during his national address on border security this week,
  • In addition to dialing up the orange   the TV station was able to manipulate Trump on the fly to show him creepily sticking his tongue out at viewers.
  • In a statement to MyNorthWest, Q13’s news director said “We are investigating this to determine what happened,” adding “This does not meet our editorial standards and we regret if it is seen as portraying the President in a negative light. The editor responsible for editing the footage is being placed on leave while we investigate further.

  • A vast majority of American voters believe that the United States is facing a “crisis” or a “problem” on the southern border, according to a new poll by Politico and Morning Consult.
  • While less than half of those surveyed (42 percent) agree with President Donald Trump’s assertion that the border is in “crisis,” another 37 percent concede that there is a “problem” — meaning 79 percent of voters believe the situation at the border is a serious issue.
  • Only 12 percent of voters polled said that the situation at the border is neither a crisis nor a problem.
