U.S. Weekly Jobless Claims Fall to 712,000 
  • New weekly jobless claims fell 75,000 to 712,000 in the week ended November 28, the Department of Labor said Thursday.
  • That was better than expected. Economists had expected claims to tick up from the initial estimate of 778,000 to 780,000 following two consecutive weekly increases. The previous week was revised up to 787,000, a climb
  • The highest insured unemployment rates in the week ending November 14 were in the Virgin Islands (7.9), California (7.3), Hawaii (7.1), Nevada (6.7).
  • Illinois saw the biggest jump in claims in the week ending November 21, adding 18,786 people to the unemployment rolls. Michigan and Washington followed closely behind, with 17,285 and 13,499 new claims respectively.

Congress passes bill to boot Chinese companies from stock exchanges if they don’t comply with audits

  • The Senate approved the legislation earlier this year and now it will head to President Trump.  The U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation Wednesday that would boot businesses from China and other foreign countries from U.S. stock exchanges if they failed to give American auditors access to examine financial reports.
  • The legislation would obligate foreign businesses to give access to U.S. auditors to scrutinize financial reports or be in danger of getting barred from trading on an American stock exchange or over-the-counter market.

Senate Confirms Trump’s Nominee Waller To Fed Board

Foley is an American lawyer, law professor, election law scholar, and former Ohio Solicitor General.[1] He is the theorist of the blue shift, a phenomenon in US politics in which in-person votes overstate overall percentage of votes for the Republican Party (whose color is red), while provisional votes, which are counted after election day, tend to overstate overall percentage of votes for the Democratic Party (whose color is blue). When the provisional votes are counted after the election, there is often a shift in totals toward the Democrat, or blue, candidate.[2][3]

It is Election Night 2020. This time it is all eyes on Pennsylvania, as whoever wins the Keystone State will win an Electoral College majority. Trump is ahead in the state by 20,000 votes, and he is tweeting “The race is over. Another four years to keep Making America Great Again.”Although 20,000 is a sizable lead, they have learned in recent years that numbers can shift before final, official certification of election results. They are afraid of “calling” the election for Trump, only to find themselves needing to retract the call—as they embarrassingly did twenty years earlier, in 2000. Trump’s Democratic opponent, _________ (fill in the blank with whichever candidate you prefer; I will pick Elizabeth Warren since at the moment she is the front-runner according to prediction markets),1 is not conceding, claiming the race still too close to call. Both candidates end the night without going in front of the cameras. In the morning, new numbers show Trump’s lead starting to slip, and by noon it is below 20,000. Impatient, Trump holds an impromptu press conference and announces:

Given that 3 U.S.C. § 15 requires the counting process to consider one state at a time in alphabetical order, what happens if Congress appears to be stuck on a particular state (before any candidate has reached an indisputable majority of all electoral votes in the count)? Does the vice president of the United States, as President of the Senate and thus presiding officer over the special electoral count procedure under the Twelfth Amendment and 3 U.S.C. § 15, have constitutional or statutory authority to insist upon completion of the count in a timely manner (before noon on January 20), if the two chambers of Congress otherwise would remain mired in a dispute over a particular state?

There are various provisions of the Electoral Count Act that endeavor to move the count along, so that it does not become stuck or bogged down. 3 U.S.C. § 15 itself provides: “When the two Houses have voted, they shall immediately again meet, and the presiding officer shall then announce the decision of the questions submitted.” This provision seems to authorize the vice president to make some definitive pronouncements in light of disagreement between the two chambers. But the extent of the vice president’s authority is unclear in this regard.

The Twentieth Amendment seems to contemplate the possibility that the counting of electoral votes may be incomplete and thus there might be neither a president-elect nor a vice president elect at noon on January 20, when the terms of the previous president and vice president expire, and thus there would need to be an acting president to be identified in a statute enacted by Congress:

    Hi Dave—THANK YOU for these reports. We’re pretty new but now deep into Q posts, they’ve given us a lot of hope and I believe clarity. What does it mean that Q has been quiet for a while, in your opinion? Radio silence as things are put in place? Or what can be shared?

    The biggest concern in Europe is the panic to get vaccines rolled out. They are using the threat of continued loss of liberty through lock downs to facilitate the program for widespread use in the UK.
    The media is claiming that people are eager to get the jabs because of fear despite the fact that the death rate is decreasing. The truth appears to be that many will resist the vaccination due to lack of information concerning side effects. Again the media are instrumental in spreading fear while politicians claim it is the only way to re-open the economy.The tension is escalating.

    BS, the plan of the deepstate has always been to so muddy the waters of the traditional elections, so as to force the State legislatures to have to select the state’s delegates. They knew they could sway the state legislatures to send Biden electors. This is EXACTLY what the contested state legislatures have said they will do. These politicians do not want Trump in office, and they also know if they buck the deepstate, they and their families will be slaughtered. So the Article 2 aspect of Congress selecting President, will not come into play.

    Thank you for doing your reports. They help me immensely during this time, especially the morning I woke up on November 4th when I believed I fell asleep, because I was assured that President Trump would be re-elected. Knowing what is really going on and being awakened has caused me to look at many things in different ways. Unfortunately, I am surrounded by people that are still asleep and are resisting knowing the truth. Hopefully the majority that I am seeing that have been awakened will help the ones still napping through their lives. Thanks again!

I see where that never-trumper McConnell shafted Judy Shelton a outstanding, highly qualified individual for a seat on the FED BOARD. i also see YOU HAVE NOT MENTIONED THAT ON YOUR REPORTS. She was a critical piece of the pie in TRUMPS move to the gold standard.

    Great show as always Dave. I just wanted to add one “big” tidbit that will help our audience understand the Federal Reserve Banking System a lot more. The Fed lends money into circulation, but, please keep this in mind, the IRS was not created to just pay off the interest on the money lent into circulation, it was created to pay off the principal too, and WOW that is a heck of a lot more money than just the interest. Please tell our audience that too. That should REALLY get their attention as to how lethal the Fed is, and how much theft they are committing every single day!!!
