- Antimony (Sb on the periodic table) is a strategic mineral with many applications. Shooters will recognize it, as it is frequently allied with lead to make a harder, more durable alloy for cast bullets. We should note that lead-antimony alloys have many other uses, from lead-acid batteries to sailboat keels. Antimony is used in other alloys as well, such as antifriction alloys, electric cable sheathing, and type metals for printing presses, which apparently are not completely extinct yet. It’s also used in flame retardants, and – this is key – in semiconductors. It’s also has applications in pharmaceuticals.
- a key strategic mineral. Alaska has antimony. Now, in Alaska, a company called Nova Minerals, with a grant from the War Department, has a contract to build an antimony refinery at Port MacKenzie, west of Anchorage, to process ore from the Estelle gold mine in the West Susitna Mineral District.
- With Pentagon backing and a goal to begin delivering Alaska-sourced antimony into U.S. supply chains by 2027, Nova Minerals Ltd. has secured a 42.8-acre site at Port MacKenzie west of Anchorage for a refinery that would process antimony concentrates from its Estelle project and other sources.”This is a defining moment for Nova Minerals and for U.S. critical mineral independence,” Nova Minerals CEO Christopher Gerteisen said upon securing land use permits for the industrial site about four miles from a deepwater port in Southcentral Alaska. The refinery, to be developed by Nova subsidiary Alaska Range Resources (ARR), is part of a strategy to leverage the very high-grade antimony mineralization found on the company’s Estelle project about 100 miles west of Port MacKenzie to establish a domestic supply of this metalloid critical to a wide range of military and commercial applications.
- Antimony is also found in Idaho and Montana. But a majority of antimony production comes from countries that are not particularly friendly to the United States: China, Russia, and Tajikistan, which, between them, account for almost 80 percent of global supply.

Johnson Warns Current Government Shutdown Could Be Longest Ever
- House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said on Oct. 13 that he thinks the ongoing federal government shutdown might become the longest in the nation’s history, and that he “won’t negotiate” with Democrats until they abandon their health care demands to reopen.
- “We’re barreling toward one of the longest shutdowns in American history,” Johnson said.
- Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Monday that the shutdown had already begun to affect the U.S. economy but did not elaborate.
- The Senate GOP needs 60 votes on its continuing resolution, which extended government funding at the existing level before the shutdown, to reopen the government. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) has pinned blame on Democrats, who have insisted on a permanent extension to certain COVID-19 era health care subsidies that are expiring this year.

- “Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had been expected to testify before the panel last week on Oct. 9 — but did not appear — and former President Bill Clinton was slated to be grilled on his ties to Epstein on Tuesday.
- But an Oversight Committee spokesperson told The Post Monday that the panel is ‘having conversations with the Clintons’ attorney to accommodate their schedules’.”
- “The Clintons were subpoenaed in early August by Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) as part of the panel’s review of the federal government’s probe into Epstein and his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

Prince Group Transnational Criminal Organization (TCO)The post from the official
account refers to the Prince Group TCO, a massive Cambodia-based criminal empire led by tycoon Chen Zhi (also known as Hun To). This network was the target of a historic U.S.-U.K. operation announced on October 13-14, 2025, involving sanctions, indictments, and a record $15 billion Bitcoin seizure—the largest financial forfeiture in U.S. history. The FBI played a central role in the investigation and takedown coordination, unsealing charges in the Eastern District of New York.Key Details on the Network
- Operating from at least 10 “scam compounds” in Cambodia (and affiliates in Laos and elsewhere), it orchestrated global “pig butchering” scams—sophisticated online investment frauds where victims are groomed over months to pour money into fake crypto platforms. These scams alone caused over $16.6 billion in U.S. losses in 2024, with Southeast Asia-based operations accounting for $10 billion (a 66% increase from 2023). The group laundered billions through 100+ shell companies, blending illicit funds into legitimate sectors like real estate, banking (e.g., Prince Bank), casinos, and Bitcoin mining.
- Victims (trafficked from 66+ countries) were lured with fake job offers (e.g., tech support) but enslaved in compounds. They faced torture, beatings, sexual exploitation, document confiscation, and extortion to force participation in fraud ops. Escape attempts led to severe abuse or murder, as seen in a 2023 killing at a Jin Bei Group compound (a Prince Holding Group subsidiary). The U.N. and reports link these to widespread modern slavery in Southeast Asia’s scam ecosystem.
- Beyond pig-butchering, it ran sextortion (blackmail via explicit materials, often targeting minors), illegal gambling, corruption, and money laundering for North Korean cyber heists. Affiliates like Jin Bei Group directly scammed 259 U.S. victims out of $18 million in a 2022 FBI probe.
- Chen Zhi (indicted for racketeering and fraud) heads Prince Holding Group. Key figures include Guy Chhay, Lei Bo, and Zhu Zhongbiao. Sanctioned entities: 146 total, including Prince Bank, Jin Bei Group, and Golden Fortune Resorts.

These grants are buried under broad terms with little or no detail. Lawmakers are being asked to approve funding without knowing how the money will be used or even who’s getting it.” “The human services budget has been hijacked. It used to mean helping seniors, helping single mothers, and people with disabilities. Now it’s packed with programs for politically aligned groups offering vague services like parent mentoring, immigrant support, LGBTQ advocacy, and many are race or identity-based initiatives that serve political agendas”

- Russian forces launched powerful glide bombs and drones against Ukraine´s second-largest city in overnight attacks, hitting a hospital and wounding seven people, an official said Tuesday, as European military aid for Kyiv dropped sharply and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy prepared to ask U.S. President Donald Trump for Tomahawk missiles.
- The Russian attack on Kharkiv in Ukraine´s northeast hit the city’s main hospital, forcing the evacuation of 50 patients, regional head Oleh Syniehubov said. The attack´s main targets were energy facilities, Zelenskyy said, without providing details of what was hit.
- “Every day, every night, Russia strikes power plants, power lines, and our (natural) gas facilities,” Zelenskyy said on Telegram
- Russian long-range strikes on its neighbor’s power grid are part of a campaign since Moscow launched a full-scale invasion in February 2022 to disable Ukraine´s power supply, denying civilians heat and running water during the bitter winter.
- The Ukrainian leader urged foreign countries to help blunt Russia´s long-range attacks by providing more air defense systems for the country, which is almost the size of Texas and hard to defend from the air in its entirety.

with the People of El Salvador), a U.S. group that supported the FMLN, a Marxist guerrilla front fighting the U.S.-backed Salvadoran government. CISPES often worked alongside the Nicaragua Network, which championed the Sandinista revolution in Nicaragua. (U.S. intelligence later confirmed that the Sandinistas supplied El Salvador’s rebels with weapons and training.) As the solidarity scene matured: • 1985: Nicaragua Network + Detroit CISPES merge → CASC (Central America Solidarity Committee) • 1993: CASC + MICAH merge → OSCA (Organization in Solidarity with Central America) • 1998: Former Nicaragua Network activists incorporate the Alliance for Global Justice (AFGJ), folding their old network inside as a project. Today AFGJ still operates as a left-wing umbrella group … the same lineage that began with 1980s “solidarity” campaigns. So yes… the activist ecosystem that once rallied for Marxist guerrillas in Central America evolved, merged, and rebranded, and figures like Obama (via early CISPES work) and later Bill Ayers (through AFGJ-linked circles) both trace lines back into that same network.

- The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear a Republican-led challenge to the Voting Rights Act, giving its conservative majority a chance to deal another blow to the landmark federal law enacted 60 years ago to prevent racial discrimination in voting.
- The case involves electoral districts in Louisiana.
- The arguments come in an appeal by a group of Black voters of a judicial decision declaring that a map that raised the number of Black-majority congressional districts in the state from one to two violated the constitutional promise of equal protection because it was guided too much by racial considerations.
- Louisiana, where Black people make up roughly a third of the population, has six U.S. House of Representatives districts.
- Black voters tend to support Democrat candidates. Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act bars electoral maps that would result in diluting the clout of minority voters, even absent direct proof of racist intent.
- The Supreme Court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, is expected to rule by the end of June. A decision striking down Section 2 could help Republicans gain as many as 19 additional seats in the U.S. House and reduce minority membership in Congress, according to a report by Democratic-affiliated advocacy groups Fair Fight Action and Black Voters Matter Fund. Republicans currently hold a slim majority in the House.
