Energy Department Ends LNG Export Pause Following Trump Order
- In January 2024, the federal government temporarily paused the approval of LNG exports to nations without a Free Trade Agreement with the United States. At the time, the administration cited issues such as the impact of LNG exports on greenhouse gas emissions and rising energy costs for Americans as reasons for the pause.
- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) revoked on Jan. 21 a Biden-era regulation that restricted LNG exports, paving the way for capacity additions in the sector and strengthening America’s energy industry.
- The DOE announced that effective Tuesday, it is ending the pause as part of restoring the “Trump energy dominance agenda.”
- The United States is already the world’s largest LNG exporter and shipped 88.3 million tonnes of superchilled gas in 2024. This year alone, three new plants should add nearly 50 MTPA to U.S. capacity.
- If pending projects were canceled as a result of the LNG pause, Louisiana stood to suffer harm, the judge said, calling the DOE decision “completely without reason or logic.”

President Donald Trump issued an order to protect Americans from foreign terrorists and other public safety threats.
This order directs federal agencies to implement a range of security procedures authorized by the US Constitution, Immigration and Nationality Act and United States Code.
Trump’s stated policy is for the federal government to protect American citizens “from aliens who intend to commit terrorist attacks, threaten our national security, espouse hateful ideology, or otherwise exploit the immigration laws for malevolent purposes.”
The order directs the secretary of State, attorney general, secretary of Homeland Security, and Director of National Intelligence to identify all resources to “ensure that all aliens seeking admission to the United States, or who are already in the United States, are vetted and screened to the maximum degree possible.”

- All the so-called “detailees” from federal agencies and departments to the National Security Council (NSC) in the White House have been removed and President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Waltz is conducting a full review of all staff who will be detailed to the entity, an NSC official confirmed to Breitbart News.
- Waltz had told Breitbart News during the transition in an exclusive interview that they would be all removed on day one, and new ones who were on board with Trump’s vision would take their place. Detailees, as they are called, are officials from various law enforcement, military, and intelligence agencies and departments across the federal government who are detailed to–or assigned to–the White House’s National Security Council. The NSC is the entity that helps corral the entire federal government behind a president’s national security agenda, but in Trump’s first term it’s the entity from which several deep state moles like Alexander Vindman and others came at Trump. Vindman, who was a detailee to the NSC in Trump’s first term, was obviously the impetus for the first impeachment of Trump. Waltz made it clear in that Breitbart News exclusive interview, published earlier in January, that he would send all the detailees back to their respective agencies and departments right away on day one of the Trump administration–and that they would be replaced with new ones who were not disloyal to Trump.

Trump’s DHS Guts Board Investigating Chinese Hacking Group Salt Typhoon
- The Trump administration has gutted the Department of Homeland Security’s advisors, removing key individuals who helped the Department investigate cyber threats.
- “In alignment with the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) commitment to eliminating the misuse of resources and ensuring that DHS activities prioritize our national security, I am directing the termination of all current memberships on advisory committees within DHS, effective immediately,” said a letter signed by acting director Benjamine C. Huffman.
- The removals included people on the DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Cyber Safety Review Board (CSRB). The CSRB joined DHS officials and private individuals with deep knowledge of cybersecurity and set them to the task of investigating online threats.
- The board had gained notoriety after investigating major hacking incidents including the Log4Shell vulnerability, the hacking group Lapsus$, and the compromises of Microsoft Exchange inboxes in 2023. The board was investigating the CCP-backed Salt Typhoon, a hacking group that compromised major telecom companies in the past few years.
- One of the terminated board members is Chris Krebs, the Chief Intelligence Officer of SentinelOne. Krebs had previously served as the head of CISA but was fired by Trump after pushing back on the President’s claims of election interference in 2020. “He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot,” one of Trump’s lawyers said of Krebs at the time.

- This EO, quite literally, opens Pandoras Box on decades of illegitimate elections in this country.
- There is a backlog created by the Biden Administration in the processing of security clearances of individuals hired to work in the Executive Office of the President. Because of this backlog and the bureaucratic process and broken security clearance process, individuals who have not timely received the appropriate clearances are ineligible for access to the White House complex, infrastructure, and technology and are therefore unable to perform the duties for which they were hired. This is unacceptable.
- Therefore, by the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order:
- 1. The White House Counsel to provide the White House Security Office and Acting Chief Security Officer with a list of personnel that are hereby immediately granted interim Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearances for a period not to exceed six months; and
- 2. That these individuals shall be immediately granted access to the facilities and technology necessary to perform the duties of the office to which they have been hired; and
- 3. The White House Counsel, as my designee, may supplement this list as necessary; and
- 4. The White House Counsel, as my designee, shall have the authority to revoke the interim clearance of any individual as necessary.
