• So, on Tuesday (12) the new government announced a sharp devaluation of its currency, as well as cuts to energy and transportation subsidies.

• Judicial Watch has disclosed new documents concerning the unfortunate drowning of Tafari Campbell, the former personal chef of the Obama family, revealing that there were operational failures with Secret Service rescue boats during the emergency.
• According to witness accounts, without a life jacket and wasn’t tethered to his board, Campbell lost his balance and fell off his paddleboard into the water. Desperately struggling to stay afloat, he eventually slipped beneath the surface, never to resurface again.
• Campbell, who could swim as evidenced by a video he’d previously posted, was found in eight-deep water.
•  Documents obtained by Judicial Watch through a FOIA lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security uncovered that the Secret Service encountered crucial issues deploying their boats to aid Campbell.

• Israel’s U.N. Ambassador Gilad Erdan masterfully trolled the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday during a debate on a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Gaza conflict that ignored mention of the Islamist terror group Hamas that instigated the current war with Israel with the October 7 terror attack launched from Gaza. Erdan told the General Assembly members to call Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar to demand the release pf the hostages held by Hamas and for the terror group to lay down their arms and surrender, saying those acts would bring about a lasting ceasefire. Erdan held up a poster with the phone number for Hamas headquarters in Gaza.

Life insurers have been consistently sounding the alarm over these unexpected or, “excess,” deaths, which claimed 158,000 more Americans in the first nine months of 2023 than in the same period in 2019. That exceeds America’s combined losses from every war since Vietnam. Congress should urgently work with insurance experts to investigate this troubling trend.

With the worst of COVID behind us, annual deaths for all causes should be back to pre-pandemic levels — or even lower because of the loss of so many sick and infirm Americans. Instead, the death toll remains “alarming,” “disturbing,” and deserving of “urgent attention,” according to insurance industry articles.

Actuarial reports — used by insurers to inform decisions — show deaths occurring disproportionately among young working-age people. Nonetheless, America’s chief health manager, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, opted in September to archive its excess deaths webpage with a note stating, “these datasets will no longer be updated.”

• The Supreme Court accepted a case   that could further complicate special counsel Jack Smith’s timeline for bringing former President Donald Trump to trial in Washington, D.C., on charges stemming from his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
• The justices agreed Wednesday to take up a case challenging the scope of an obstruction law that has been used to charge hundreds of Jan. 6 defendants — along with the former president. The statute, Section 1512(c)(2), is connected to two of the four counts Smith levied against Trump in his indictment.
• With two key charges in question, Trump’s March 4 trial date appears increasingly unlikely, despite Smith making every effort to maintain it.
• “The decision by SCOTUS today to take up the appeal on the 1512 ‘obstruction of an official proceeding’ case means the Trump DC case will not be going to trial,” lawyer and former federal prosecutor Bill Shipley wrote on Twitter. “This is the easy way to make that happen without directly acting on the Trump case on an expedited basis.”

• Well, a recent poll conducted by The Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports “found one-in-five voters who cast mail-in ballots during the 2020 presidential election admit to participating in at least one kind of voter fraud.”  Keep in mind that 43% of 2020 voters cast ballots by mail.  There were approximately 155M ballots cast in the 2020 Presidential Election.  43% of that would mean over 66M voted by mail.  “One in five” of 66M would amount to potentially over 13.33M ballots that were illegally cast.  But 2020 was “the safest and most secure election in history.”v

According to the results of the poll:

• 17% of mail-in voters admit that in 2020 they voted in a state where they are “no longer a permanent resident”
• 21% of mail-in voters admitted that they filled out a ballot for a friend or family member
• 17% of mail-in voters said they signed a ballot for a friend or family member “with or without his or her permission”
• 8% of likely voters say they were offered “pay” or a “reward” for voting in 2020.
• 10% of respondents – not just those who voted by mail – claimed that they know “a friend, family member, co-worker, or other acquaintance who has admitted…that he or she cast a mail-in ballot in 2020 in a state other than his or her state of permanent residence.” (I personally fit in this category, as I know someone who admitted to voting a senior-citizen family member’s ballot)
