World Economic Forum Article Calls For ‘Reinventing’ The Global Food System, Praises ‘Animal-Free’ Products

  • The World Economic Forum (WEF) published an article on Thursday calling for a “reinvention” of the global food supply and praising “alternative proteins” made by “animal-free” products.
  • The WEF is an international advocacy organization founded by Klaus Schwab that seeks to bring world leaders together “to shape global, regional and industry agendas.” The organization has been criticized in the past for publishing an article encouraging people to eat bugs to “reduce climate change.”
  • In Thursday’s article, titled “Feeding the future: why Renovation and Reinvention are key to saving our food system,” WEF New Frontiers of Nutrition Project Fellow Juliana Weltman Glezer laments the greenhouse gas emissions caused by food production and warns of a 60% increase in food demand when the worldwide population hits 10 billion.
  • “Many of the ways we grow, manufacture and consume food are causing a dual crisis of human and environmental health, and the complexity will only intensify,” Glezer wrote.

While experts extol the health and environmental benefits of a diet free of animal products, new research suggests that consuming ultra-processed vegan food can increase the risk of heart death.

Ultra-processed foods include packaged goods, drinks, cereals and ready-to-eat products that contain colors, emulsifiers, flavors and other additives. UPFs are typically high in sugar, saturated fat, and salt and devoid of vitamins and fiber.

Researchers found that for every 10% increase in plant-based foods, the risk of death from heart disease fell by 20%.

  • Welfare offices and other agencies in 49 US states are providing voter registration forms to migrants without requiring proof of citizenship, leading Republicans and conservatives to call for swift federal action to stop the handouts.
  • Every state but Arizona — which recently passed a law barring the practice on state but not federal forms — gives applicants for either welfare benefits, driver’s licenses, or in some cases, mail-in ballots voter registration forms without demanding proof of citizenship.
  • There is currently no requirement on federal voting forms to provide proof of US citizenship, though it is illegal to falsely claim one is a citizen or for a non-citizen to cast a ballot in a federal election.
  • But millions of migrants with humanitarian parole, refugee or asylum status are eligible for benefits that would bring them to the offices where voter registration takes place.
  • The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 ordered states to register voters at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and agencies where Americans apply for public benefits — and those offices are required by federal law to hand over the registration forms along with the application papers.If an applicant attests that they are a US citizen, that is considered valid on its face and the person is registered to vote.
  • The House Administration Committee last month approved the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act to require states to receive proof of citizenship when anyone registers to vote by mail, at a DMV or a welfare agency office.

CIA invasion of Cuba (which failed) and 2. the USA setting up missiles in Turkey. Current one has been brought to you as the result of 1. placing missiles in Ukraine, Poland, Finland and Sweden, and 2. the war games in the Baltic (not new, we took out the gas pipeline not long after the previous show) 3. sending US made F-16s (old and obselete as they are they seem to be FJB’s ‘go-to-threat’ against Americans as well) 4. and our pledge to continue this ‘war’ for another decade (rejecting the Russian peace proposal), or until Russia is destroyed. “New Missile Crisis”? So-what, the baboons in DC asked for it, maybe this time the Russians ‘green-light’ the use of missiles inside US territory by their allies. Chess moves, not poker bluffs.
