the entire the city into the 3rd world also. Now they are all on welfare and the rent is higher for everyone. Canada’s GDP per capita was 94% of America’s in 1981. Today it’s 67%. The widest gap since World War II. Ontario is now poorer than 43 US states. Including Louisiana and Alabama.
This isn’t a hiccup, it’s a collapse. From 2017-2024, US productivity grew 10.1%. Canada’s fell 0.6%. The US spends 3.4% of GDP on R&D. Canada spends 1.7%. Housing prices are 50% to 100% higher in Canada compared to the USA, meanwhile incomes are 30% lower. Canadians spends 48% of their income on a mortgage.
The average American: 34%. Canada has talent, natural resources (oil, gas, minerals hydro), safe geography, rule of law. It should be one of the wealthiest countries on the planet.
What it doesn’t have is a system that rewards being successful. It is a system being strangled by bad immigration policy, bad trade policies, massive regulations, woke DEI mind viruses and crushing taxes.

- Team Gavin Newsom could not resist a cheap shot against President Trump following the bombing of Iran, and it promptly blew up in their faces.
- Following the bombing, Newsom’s team slammed Trump for rattling oil markets while bragging about California’s supposedly declining gasoline prices.
- “Average gas prices in California have stayed below $5 for nearly two years,” the post reads. “Trump’s new war is already rattling markets.”
- “We’re watching this space. Closely.”
- The US Oil and Gas Association was not pleased by the tweet and decided to school Newsom’s team. After calling the staffer responsible for the tweet a “pajama boy,” the organization shared a brutal fact: California imports roughly 5/8 of its oil from abroad despite sitting on almost 2 billion barrels of reserves.
- The US Oil and Gas Association went on to detail each country from which the Golden State imports its oil.
- Of course, the reason California imports so much petroleum is that the politicians who run the state are worthless climate alarmists who would rather see rolling blackouts than drill for another drop of oil.

JUST IN: The Federal Circuit Court of Appeals has rejected the Trump administration's bid to slow down the effective date of the Supreme Court's tariff ruling.
The admin had asked for a 90 day delay. The circuit issued it immediately. https://t.co/JNKEcd4ezt pic.twitter.com/Gpg9CP5f7v
— Kyle Cheney (@kyledcheney) March 2, 2026
Trump Administration’s OptionsWith the Supreme Court having issued a final ruling and the Federal Circuit now mandating immediate remand to the CIT, the administration’s appellate options are largely exhausted. However, here are the realistic paths forward, based on legal procedures and recent developments:
- The administration (via the Department of Justice and U.S. Customs and Border Protection) can engage in the refund process at the CIT. This includes negotiating or litigating details like refund calculations, eligible parties, timelines, and interest payments. The CIT will likely issue guidance or orders on how refunds are handled, and the government could propose structured implementation to minimize disruption. Refunds could take time to process but must now proceed without the requested delay.
- While the Federal Circuit denied a broad delay, the administration could request targeted extensions or phased implementation from the CIT, arguing administrative complexity (e.g., updating systems or calculating refunds for thousands of importers). However, the CIT may be inclined to move quickly given the higher courts’ directives.
- The administration could file a petition for rehearing or reconsideration with the Supreme Court, as President Trump has publicly suggested on social media. This is a long shot—rehearings are granted in fewer than 1% of cases and typically only for clear errors or new evidence. It wouldn’t automatically stay proceedings.
- Push Congress to pass laws retroactively authorizing similar tariffs, limiting refunds, or providing new authority for trade measures. For instance, Senate Democrats have introduced the “Tariff Refund Act of 2026” to mandate refunds with interest, but the administration could lobby for counter-legislation. With a potentially divided Congress, this could be challenging but offers a non-judicial workaround.
- Use other statutes for new tariffs (as already done with Section 122) or issue executive orders to mitigate economic impacts, such as subsidies for affected industries. The administration could also challenge refund claims individually if they believe certain importers don’t qualify, prolonging resolution case-by-case.
- If dissatisfied with CIT decisions on refunds (e.g., scope or amounts), the administration could appeal those back to the Federal Circuit, restarting the cycle on narrower grounds.

The Islamic Republic’s actions represent a dangerous escalation that violates the sovereignty of multiple states and threatens regional stability. The targeting of civilians and of countries not engaged in hostilities is reckless and destabilizing behavior. this would represent a significant escalation in the maritime dimension of the conflict — directly targeting one of Iran’s newest strategic naval assets designed to project drone power across the region. The destruction of such a platform is not just symbolic. It weakens Iran’s ability to conduct long-range drone operations, maritime harassment, and asymmetric naval warfare — capabilities Tehran has relied on heavily in recent years. The Persian Gulf is now an active battlespace. Shipping lanes, naval forces, and energy infrastructure are all exposed to further confrontation. Confirmation is still developing and the situation remains fluid. Stand by.

3. Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of international terror attacks.
4. The Iranian mullahs lead a 7th Century death cult. They believe in the Hidden Imam (Google it). 7th Century death cults should never be allowed to have nuclear weapons
5. Actual Persians love America. The war is with the dictatorial, genocidal mullahs.
6. Trump knows that he campaigned on ending useless, endless wars. He knows he will lose half his base if we are embroiled in an extended ground campaign.
7. I believe the intel (which I have no insider info on) suggests that if we can decapitate the mullahs and destroy the Iranian military’s ability to suppress the nation’s citizenry, that the citizenry will rise up and take over, creating a free and democratic Iran. To know this we almost certainly have been in close contact with dissident leaders and almost certainly have a plan for those dissidents to take control once certain events have occurred.
8. So here is what I think Trump is thinking: conduct an air and naval campaign to decapitate Iran’s leadership and military capabilities; no boots on the ground (with the possible exception of SOF conducting recon/targeting and maybe some select raids); a new civilian government takes charge; profit.
9. Politically, I think Trump is banking on Iran being a peaceful, democratic ally of the USA by the midterms. With Iran off the table, Hezbollah goes away, Hamas goes away, the Gulf Arab states can achieve rapprochement with Israel and—voila!—peace in the Middle East and the GOP sweeps the midterms. Or at least that’s the plan. A lot can still go wrong. But one thing I have learned—never bet against Trump.
