After a lifetime of bumps in the road which we weathered, recently afer my insurance lapsed, I needed a Pacemaker for my Ventricular Fibrilation. Deadly if not attended to. We live in Thailand as the $1500 can actually support us. Our home is paid for , Praise God. But this Pacemaker I had to go to the states to get done. for costs. Even then, airfare, hotel, taxi, car rental, food etc took my credit cards from zero balance to maxed out and took all our meager savings of $12,000. We thought we had it beat.

The major components of our fall are the 7 hip surgeries which gave me an infection I can’t beat ( 12 years of anti-biotics) and the 1st hip surgery was don e after I returned from 30 months Vietnam so blood tests weren’t the same. Fell down, broke my neck a cpla years ago. This was a big one. Had to wra a halo for 6 months bolted to my skull. Last Spring required a new pacemaker for Ventricular Fibrilation. And that took everything we had. All our credit cards and all our meager savings ($12000).
People have helped ($500) and tho it doesn’t sound like much, it paid our property taxes and bought my meds for a month.
I know it isn’t newsworthy lik glueing your hair to your head and getting thousands, or beingan ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT nd picking up a $450,000 check. but this is what I need to do.
