Europe and Britain face the same problem. After escaping Russian dependency, they traded one vulnerability for another, leaning on imported LNG and maritime flows exposed to coercion. When chokepoints tighten, they absorb shocks rather than project strength.

European criticism says less about American failure than about discomfort with a world where hard power still matters. Iran’s mistake is that once Hormuz becomes structurally unreliable, the world builds around it. That means bypass corridors, revived pipeline politics, and urgent planning for routes linking Aqaba to Mediterranean outlets near Gaza and the long-stalled Basra-to-Aqaba pipeline.

The old energy order is cracking. The UAE’s OPEC exit signals cartel discipline giving way to national advantage under pressure.

Trump deserves credit, not European scolding.

Hard resource power and monetary power reinforce one another, and the United States sits at the center of both. That is Epic Fury’s real significance. Clausewitz wrote that “the political view is the object, war is the means.”

Trump understood that. Iran tried to weaponize geography, Trump turned the confrontation into a demonstration of who is exposed and who is not.

The Trump administration deserves far more praise than it has received, and history will likely judge that Iran’s greatest miscalculation was not merely closing Hormuz, but revealing which powers still command the real sources of strength.

The Presidential Physical Fitness Test (often called the Presidential Fitness Test or Award) was phased out by the Obama administration after the 2012–13 school year.

Yet on May 4, 2026, U.S. Magistrate Muslim Judge Zia M. Faruqui did exactly that. Presiding over the case of Cole Tomas Allen — the 31-year-old Caltech-educated assailant who, on April 25, charged a Secret Service checkpoint at the Washington Hilton, shotgun in hand, intent on assassinating President Trump and everyone in that ballroom — the judge expressed “grave concerns,” called the conditions “legally deficient,” compared them unfavorably even to January 6 defendants, and personally apologized to the defendant:

“Whatever you’ve been through, I apologize… Mr. Allen, I’m sorry that things have not been the way they are supposed to.” Solitary confinement?

Suicide watch in a safe cell? Denied a Bible or tablet for days? The judge was “fascinated and disturbed.” Meanwhile, the surveillance video — raw, unfiltered, now public — shows Allen blasting through security, gunfire erupting, agents and guests diving for cover as the President was rushed to safety.

The man who allegedly declared war on the Republic via manifesto and muzzle receives judicial contrition. The victims? An afterthought.

This is not due process. This is judicial activism in its most grotesque form — a two-tiered system where the would-be presidential assassin is cast as the victim of “punitive” housing, while the rule of law itself is held hostage by misplaced compassion.

The Constitution does not demand we coddle those who attempt to overthrow it with buckshot. It demands impartiality — not inversion. When judges become advocates for the accused over the Republic they swore to protect, the people retain the ultimate remedy: accountability under Article III and the impeachment power. Enough. The Republic’s survival demands blind justice, not performative apologies to its enemies. Impeach activist judges. Restore the scales. Justice Department seeks the names of 2020 election workers in Georgia’s Fulton County

  • The Department of Justice is seeking the names of every person who worked in the 2020 election in Georgia’s Fulton County, a Democratic stronghold that Donald Trump has long accused of widespread voter fraud he falsely says cost him victory against Joe Biden in the state that year.

 

  • Lawyers for the county filed a motion on Monday night to quash a grand jury subpoena that asks for the names and personal contact information of county employees and volunteer poll workers.
