U.S. tariffs on Brazil take effect as President Donald Trump readies fresh flurry
- A new U.S. tariff targeting Brazil took effect on Wednesday (July 22, 2026), while Washington’s other trading partners brace for a fresh volley of duties as President Donald Trump’s temporary global levies expire this week. The 25% Brazil tariff followed a year-long U.S. investigation, with Washington accusing the Latin American giant of unfair trade practices.
- This has drawn sharp pushback, although Brazil’s Vice-President Geraldo Alckmin told a press conference on Tuesday (July 21, 2026) that Brazil will seek to resolve the issue through negotiations instead of retaliating.

Watching Canadians committing financial seppuku is something to behold.

versa… and we’re still getting the short end of the stick. The fact is that they’ve long enjoyed easy access to the US market while imposing stiff tariffs or limits on things like US dairy/farm products, alcohol, and banking. The latter is impt as Canada is HEAVILY reliant on US banks (and many of their banks operate in the US). At the same time, Canada greatly restricts US banks from offering services and from doing business there.
This is what makes the relationship imbalanced and “abusive” inasmuch as they’ve been taking advantage of the imbalance to the tune of at least $80 billion p/yr – and that’s why Trump asserts that we’re subsidizing their country. I’m sorry to break it to people who are slow on the uptake. That’s a BIG number, and why Trump has sought to negotiate a fair deal. Fair as in it’s mutually beneficial, not overly favoring one side as it is now. Oh, and let’s not forget that they’re essentially reliant on our military investments here to keep them safe, something they pay nothing for. And that’s impt as it allows them not to spend their own money on their own defense.
This relationship, as it stands, is insulting. They’re taking advantage of the United States. And as much as they’re throwing a tantrum now, pretending that they’re in the right, I have zero doubt they’ll eventually capitulate. The only question is how much pain is the current Canadian Govt going to insist on their citizens enduring in the interim.
40% of Canadian manufacturers are moving production to the USA.

in deep shit… they are in debt and have been mismanaging money (like pouring billions into the bullet train project that keeps going way over budget). Because of its sanctuary policies, the state has lost priority access to regular federal funding.
California leadership came up with a workaround in Trump’s first term: 1. Light fires (allow them to burn).
2. Declare a State of Emergency.
3. Ask the federal government for billions in disaster aid to “fix” the problem. Wildfires = the perfect excuse to declare an emergency and pull in massive federal checks.
Don’t you get it?
California will keep needing to create disasters to stay afloat financially because they’ve run the state into the ground. If anyone recalls in 2018-2020… countless people were arrested for arson. Deliberate coordination. —— The large majority of California wildfires are human-caused (typically 86–95% according to U.S. Forest Service and Cal Fire data). So when I say keep your eyes peeled California, I mean it.
Between now and 2029, they are going to try to light as much shit on fire as they can.

Conspiracy, allegedly stealing $547 million from 2016-2019 by fraudulently billing Medicare for expensive and medically unnecessary genetic tests, using deceptive marketing campaigns, illegal kickbacks, and bribes. This is another subject who exploited a program dedicated to helping our most vulnerable and instead stole for himself. Satary has been on the run since 2022, but we got him thanks to great work and coordination from the interagency and our overseas partners.
This is just the latest example showing President Trump’s and Vice President Vance’s White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud will not be deterred in our mission to track down each and every fraudster who allegedly steals from American taxpayers.
And it’s yet another high value target returned from overseas by this FBI – the 27th such transfer since June.

- He sent Epstein photos, profiles, physical descriptions (including measurements and ages), and sometimes videos or details about the women he encountered.
Jean-Luc Brunel (another modeling agent tied to Epstein who died in 2022) reportedly identified Siad to investigators as a “scout or recruiter of girls and/or women for J. Epstein.” Siad’s name appears in over 1,000 documents in the releases.

Kazakhstan Stops Piping Oil To Black Sea After Spate Of Ukraine Drone Tanker Strikes https://t.co/GXCY0xNciy

This development certainly isn’t going to help global oil prices stay down… Following a drone attack out of Ukraine days ago on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal along the Black Sea Coast, Kazakhstan has newly confirmed a halt crude transfers there.
“Kazakhstan is set to stop piping crude to a port on Russia’s Black Sea coast after a spate of attacks on tankers that’s jeopardizing the landlocked Asian country’s ability to produce oil,” Bloomberg reports Tuesday morning.
“The CPC Terminal at the Russian port of Novorossiysk will stop accepting piped supplies because tanker companies are too nervous to send their ships to the facility, The Kremlin charged that these recent attacks are part of Ukraine’s “ambition to further destabilize the situation on global oil markets”.

dangerous precedent that will repeat itself. What’s at stake is freedom of navigation. If that’s threatened, the global economy is threatened, and the rules that have underpinned 150 years of international trade are threatened. That cannot be allowed to happen.” This is the administration saying the war’s true subject: not the ships, the precedent. A chokepoint successfully captured and tolled by force teaches every coastal power on Earth, from the South China Sea to the Bosphorus, that the American guarantee is negotiable, and everything priced on that guarantee reprices with it. Rubio just framed 11 nights of strikes as the defense of the world order itself.

yes. In GWOT we dealt with this.
There was no doubt the U.S. military had overt control of the battle space. Where we went, we won. But we still dealt with asymmetric threats.
And that’s what you’re seeing now, albeit at the strategic scale. GWOT vets will remember the 107mm rocket barrages. They happened frequently. We played whack a mole trying to prevent them from launching but they were crafty. The rockets were designed to harass, and they did. Did they cause mass casualties?
No. Did they get a few of us? Yes. Did the enemy control the field as a result of these attacks? Absolutely not. War is complicated yet simple. Iran has been a pain in the ass like this for a long time. You are not dealing with a rational state actor. They are religious fundamentalists who don’t care about a centralized chain of command. If the Ayatollah says “ceasefire”, some zealot can easily say “yea don’t care, FIRE.”
They have no ability to mass meaningful combat power.
They can only harass with the missiles and launchers they’ve been stockpiling for generations. And every one they exposed, almost certainly gets deleted by CENTCOM. This is the dance we do with these evil people. The problem is America has to be exceptional everywhere all of the time. A terrorist only needs to be successful in one place a portion of the time. Iran is doomed. Mistaking harassing ballistic missile fire for meaningful offensive capability is foolish.
And for every hair harmed on an American head, the cost visited upon the whole of Iran will become too costly to bear. There is no universe where they succeed. Unless you are an enjoyer of Marxist media like The Washington Post or The Atlantic. Where they cheer for the Ayatollah like he’s David versus Goliath. Pure copium.

role An enrichment facility could eventually be built with US control
WSJ is saying it is approved, Rubio did not deny it
How This Counters Iran (The Strategic Logic)Saudi Arabia and Iran are bitter regional rivals (Sunni vs. Shia leadership, proxy wars in Yemen/Syria/Iraq, etc.). The strategy appears to be balance of power:
- Latent Deterrence / Hedge: MBS has repeatedly said that if Iran gets a nuclear weapon, Saudi Arabia will too. By giving Saudi a U.S.-partnered path to enrichment capability (under oversight), the U.S. is providing a monitored alternative to Saudi going rogue and buying tech from Pakistan, China, or Russia. This creates a potential counterweight to Iran’s program.
- Deepening ties with Saudi (a major oil power and Iranian rival) reassures Gulf allies and shows Iran that the U.S. is strengthening its opponents in the region.
- A stronger, more technologically advanced Saudi Arabia (with U.S.-backed nuclear know-how) complicates Iran’s regional ambitions and proxy influence.
The strategy you bolster Iran main rival with your own technology and oversight.
- Economic Win for America — Billions in contracts for U.S. nuclear firms and supply chains.
- Shut Out China and Russia — Saudi was previously considering deals with Russian (Rosatom) or Chinese nuclear companies. This keeps U.S. technology and influence dominant in a critical ally.
- Alliance Management — Strengthens the U.S.-Saudi relationship transactionally (investments, defense, energy).
- Controlled Proliferation — partnering with Saudi gives Washington monitoring rights and influence it wouldn’t have if Saudi went elsewhere.

- The brand-new city manager of upscale Sausalito, California was arrested on felony burglary charges after allegedly breaking into multiple yachts at the Sausalito Yacht Harbor, a mere three weeks into her high-paying gig.
- Elaine Forbes, 53, who just started as Sausalito’s city manager on July 1 with a whopping $275,000 taxpayer-funded annual salary, was hauled off by Marin County sheriff’s deputies around 6:50 a.m. on Saturday after responding to a noise complaint, KRON4 reported.
- Deputies reportedly found her aboard a vessel she didn’t own, trying to start the boat, leaving behind messes with empty alcohol bottles, sounding the yacht’s loud horns, and even wearing the owner’s clothing. She initially claimed it was her boat and told officers she was having “a bad morning.”

foreign voters. It all comes back to the DMV. This has been going on for years in many states. Every state which allows illegals to get licenses should have their DMV data audited ASAP. I suspect we will find hundreds of thousands of registered foreign voters in many blue states. This is just the tip of the iceberg. And it’s definitely NOT a “mistake.”
🚨 HOLY CRAP! The identity services provider New Jersey uses at the DMV is FIRING BACK at Gov. Sherrill, saying the NJ DIVISION OF ELECTIONS were the ones who registered 6,600 foreign voters

information through the motor vehicle system. The voter registration information is transmitted to the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Elections, which is ultimately responsible for verifying eligibility to vote. Information submitted by IDEMIA must still be validated and adjudicated by the Division of Elections.” So the Division of Elections MANUALLY APPROVED over SIX THOUSAND foreigners to vote. They were not automatically registered by the software provider as the governor claimed. Time to come clean
New Jersey has not handed over its full voter rolls (or the specific requested records yet) to Harmeet Dhillon / the DOJ.
- Disclosure happened shortly after Trump addressed election vulnerabilities. By revealing it first, controlling the framing (blame prior admin + quick fix), and emphasizing removals/investigation, the state could argue it was handling the issue proactively. Democrats praised her transparency; critics (including Republicans) called it evidence of systemic flaws in automatic voter registration tied to DMV processes (which some states link to noncitizen licenses).
Was this a strategy to preempt Dhillon/US DOJ involvement?Yes, that appears to be a plausible motivation—at least in part—based on the timing and context. States facing federal scrutiny on voter rolls and integrity often disclose issues to demonstrate self-correction and limit deeper intervention.
- By announcing fixes and an internal probe, NJ could try to show “we’re monitoring and cleaning our own house,” reducing the need (or justification) for federal monitors, data demands, or lawsuits.
- However, it largely backfired in the short term: Hours after Sherrill’s announcement, Dhillon sent a letter demanding detailed records on the ~6,600 individuals (names, addresses, nationalities, registration/voting details) within five business days. This escalated it into a federal civil rights investigation focused on preventing dilution of citizens’ votes.
Today, NJ Gov. Sherrill stated that 400 non-citizens voted in elections.
