Trump Administration Invests $371 Million to Improve Rural Electric Infrastructure in 11 States
The Trump Administration today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $371 million to build and improve critical electric infrastructure that will benefit more than 222,000 rural residents and commercial customers in 11 states.
“These investments will improve electric service by connecting more consumers, building and improving lines, and modernizing power grids in rural communities,” USDA Rural Development Deputy Under Secretary Bette Brand said. “Under the leadership of President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Perdue, USDA continues to be a strong partner to rural communities, because we know that when rural America thrives, all of America thrives.”

USDA is investing in 10 projects through the Electric Loan Program. This funding will help build and improve 3,741 miles of line to improve electric reliability and resilience in rural areas in Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The loans include $80 million for investments in smart grid technology, which uses digital communications to detect and react to local changes in electricity usage.

Kamala Harris is constitutionally ineligible to be president of the United States because she is not a natural born citizen, as required by Article II (and, by reference, the 12th Amendment) of the U.S. Constitution.
While born in the United States — Oakland, California — at the time of her birth, Kamala Harris’ father was a citizen of Jamaica and her mother was a citizen of India. This makes Kamala Harris a native-born American — thus eligible to serve as a U.S. senator — but she is not a natural born citizen, the higher standard set for those occupying the office of president.
What follows is a historically detailed and constitutionally precise analysis of why the Framers of the U.S. Constitution raised the required citizenship bar for those elected president of the United States. I know it’s a bit lengthy, but stay with me. Preventing constitutionally unqualified candidates from usurping power is of critical concern to every American and every man and woman whose life and liberty could be taken by the person with his — or her — finger on the button.
The Constitution does not define natural born citizenship, neither have Supreme Court and Congress. The term “natural born citizen” comes from the English concept of “natural born subject,” which came from Calvin’s Case, a 1608 decision.
Natural born subjects were those who owed allegiance to the king at birth under the “law of nature.” The court concluded that under natural law, certain people owed duties to the king, and were entitled to his protection, even in the absence of a law passed by Parliament.
Our own Founding Fathers, nearly every one of whom was born in some outpost of the British Empire, feared the damage that could come from such divided loyalty. They instituted the “natural born citizen” qualification in order to avoid what Gouverneur Morris described during the Constitutional Convention as “the danger of admitting strangers into our public councils.”
That provision in the constitution which requires that the president shall be a native-born citizen (unless he were a citizen of the United States when the constitution was adopted) is a happy means of security against foreign influence, which, wherever it is capable of being exerted, is to be dreaded more than the plague. The admission of foreigners into our councils, consequently, cannot be too much guarded against; their total exclusion from a station to which foreign nations have been accustomed to attach ideas of sovereign power, sacredness of character, and hereditary right, is a measure of the most consummate policy and wisdom.

After years of suggesting that text messages are not subject to FOIA, the FBI told the court in a recent filingthat it has located 150 text messages and 5,696 emails but will not have a schedule to release the records until August 28, 2020.

Trump: No deal on coronavirus relief package means no ‘fraudulent’ universal mail-in voting
President Trump said the U.S. Postal Service is a major obstacle between the White House and Democrats in negotiations over an economic relief package.
Trump tied the impasse to the debate over allowing widespread mail-in voting during the coronavirus pandemic, something which the president and his allies warn creates the potential for voter fraud.
“They want $3.5 billion for something that will turn out to be fraudulent,” he said. “That’s election money, basically. They want $3.5 billion for the mail-in votes. … They want $25 billion, billion, for the post office. Now, they need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots.”
The president also noted that “you can’t have universal mail-in voting because they’re not equipped to have it” without the funding that is being negotiated. “Now, if we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money. That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting,” Trump added. “They just can’t have it. So, you know, sort of a crazy thing.”

Trump Introduces New COVID-19 Adviser Who
President Donald Trump introduced a new White House adviser on the CCP virus and announced eight new recommendations for reopening schools.
Dr. Scott Atlas, a healthcare policy expert who is a Senior Fellow for the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, has recently begun working with the administration. Trump told reporters that Atlas is “a truly brilliant man, a wonderful man and cares about the subject” of reopening schools “very much.”
Atlas earlier in the day attended a schools event where a group of parents, teachers, medical experts, and a number of others called for the reopening of schools as an option for parents and students wishing to return.
