Macy’s is now closing 15o stores. Store closures will continue. Inflation is hitting the everyday person hard, especially when you they start shrinking the products. CNN took the bait, they make an argument that Trump is not the reason the market is going up. Trump sends a message that we will be going back to sound money. The [DS] players are being exposed one by one and they are being removed. Think about Trump’s indictments, the people see the players, think about Ukraine, the people now know that the CIA was embedded in the country. More states are now reversing the procedures that were put into place to cheat in the election, they are now deemed unconstitutional. The [DS] is now losing the ability to cheat. We the people are about to take back the country, the [DS] is walking down the path and there is no return.

  • Former President Donald Trump is once again warning the stock market is doomed unless voters return him to the White House.
  • Trump is not just foretelling a market meltdown — something he, wrongly, forecast in 2020. The former president is predicting the mother of all market crashes if he isn’t victorious.
  • “If we lose, you’re gonna have a crash like you wouldn’t believe,” Trump said at a campaign rally on Friday. He went on to say a loss for him would spark “the largest stock market crash we’ve ever had.”
  •  market veterans who CNN spoke to laughed off the former president’s warning of the biggest-ever market crash. They dismissed it as Trump just being Trump and argued the 2024 race for the White House has had little — if any — role in fueling the market boom.
  • “That’s the Trump bluster that I just don’t pay a lot of attention to,” said Brian Gardner, chief Washington policy strategist at Stifel. “There’s not going to be a huge selloff if Trump were to lose. Regardless of who wins, post-election you could see a rally — fueled by relief that it’s over.”

  • “The only thing that’s doing well is the stock market. And it’s doing well because the polls are all showing that we’re winning by a lot,” Trump said on Friday, echoing a claim he’s made in recent weeks.
  • Market strategists largely dismissed that argument.
  • “It’s just ludicrous,” said Hogan. “Whenever a president tries to attach any effect over the market, it’s just a waste of time. It gets even more laughable for a former president to do that.”
  • But this rally has little to anything to do with the 2024 race for the White House, according to market veterans.
  • Instead, they say the market milestones are being fueled by the strengthening economy, growing corporate profits, the fact that the Federal Reserve has stopped hiking interest rates and euphoria over artificial intelligence.
  • “It’s all about better economics,” said Kelly, the JPMorgan executive whose division manages $2.9 trillion. “The US economy has proven it can grow, avoid recession and maintain an unemployment rate at or below 4% – even as inflation comes down.”
  • “The evidence suggests the stock market is looking at other things other than who is president,” he said.
  • Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer told CNN it’s “no surprise Trump is jealous” of the Biden economy. He pointed to the nearly 15 million new jobs created since Biden took office, record highs in the stock market and low unemployment.

  • The Eighth Amendment Problem
  • The Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that “excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishment inflicted.”
  • The New York court’s ruling ordering the Trumps to pay over $360 million under New York State law likely violates the Eighth Amendment prohibition on “excessive fines.”
  • First, in 2019, The United States Supreme Court held that the Eighth Amendment prohibition on “excessive fines” applies to states, not just to actions by the federal government.  Thus, New York State fines are subject to the Eighth Amendment.  Next, while the fines imposed by the New York Court in the Trump case are characterized as “,” the United States Supreme Court and federal appellate decisions confirm that “disgorgements” are penalties or fines for purposes of federal law.  Thus, the New York Court’s “disgorgement” penalties are subject to an “excessive fine” challenge under the Eighth Amendment.
  • As the United States Supreme Court’s decisions instruct, the focus of the “grossly disproportional” inquiry is on the following factors:
  • (1) the degree of the defendant’s reprehensibility or culpability(2) the relationship between the penalty and the harm to the victim caused by the defendant’s actions(3) the sanctions imposed in other cases for comparable misconduct
  • Applying these factors to the New York court’s decision reveals that the fines are clearly excessive.  There are no victims in the Trump case.  No one was harmed.  Each and every financial institution involved was fully repaid and made money on its loans.  Further, a review of case law in New York demonstrates that there simply are no cases ordering a defendant to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in disgorgement without any victim being deprived of anything.  Finally, just how “reprehensible” is it to obtain loans and credit facilities and then pay the lenders back, in full, on time, in compliance with the agreement?  The answer is, not very.

Court: Turning Election Day Into Election Week And Creating ‘Permanent’ Mail Voters Violates Delaware’s Constitution

  • Democrat-passed laws authorizing a 10-day voting season and permanent absentee voting status violate the Delaware Constitution, a state court ruled on Friday.
  • Writing for the Superior Court of the State of Delaware, Judge Mark Conner determined that legislation enabling early and “permanent absentee” voting in Delaware elections does not comport with the state’s founding document. The lawsuit challenging the statutes in question was brought by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) on behalf of Michael Mennella, an inspector of elections for the Delaware Department of Elections. State Election Commissioner Anthony Albence and the Delaware Department of Elections are defendants in the case.
  • More specifically, he highlighted how the 10-day early voting period illegally circumvents Article V, Section 1 of the Delaware Constitution, which mandates voters cast ballots on “the Tuesday next after the first Monday in … November.” Meanwhile, Democrats’ permanent absentee voting statute is inconsistent with the constitution’s required qualifications for absentee voting, Conner ruled.
  • “States cannot pass election laws that conflict with their state constitution,” PILF President J. Christian Adams said in a statement. “This decision is a win for the rule of law.”

Poll: Donald Trump Closing In on Joe Biden with Young Voters
