- “The reach of the Clean Water Act is notoriously unclear,” he wrote. “Any piece of land that is wet at least part of the year is in danger of being classified by E.P.A. employees as wetlands covered by the act, and according to the federal government, if property owners begin to construct a home on a lot that the agency thinks possesses the requisite wetness, the property owners are at the agency’s mercy.”

NY Governor Hochul floats idea of housing illegals in dorms at state universities
- Oh oh! It turns out that actually experiencing an inflow of illegal immigrants can force even the bluest of blue state Dem politicians to risk angering their equally blue constituents. Spectrum News reports:
Gov. Kathy Hochul’s administration has identified dorms on three SUNY campuses to use as housing sites for migrants, according to a source.
The source told NY1 the plan includes a total of 1,500 beds at the University at Buffalo, Stony Brook University and the University at Albany.
- Using state college dorms has a huge risk if the invaders are still in residence when students return. Forcibly evacuating them (to where?) would make for some awfully bad visuals. And what about the summer school students staying in dorms? Illegal drugs and alcohol abuse problems, as well as sex in the stairwells have been all over the hotels whch are being used to hold invaders. After all, none of these people have been vetted, unlike the students who have to pass admissions scrutiny.

$100 million in border wall materials rusting away in Texas: report
- More than a $100 million worth of taxpayer-paid border wall materials have been discarded and are going to waste in Texas after President Biden ended construction of the barrier when he entered the White House in January and canceled contracts for its construction, according to a report.
- Only about 14 miles of the wall was built before former President Donald Trump left office.
- “Keep in mind, taxpayers have already paid for this,” reporter Bill Melugin said on “America’s Newsroom.”

Federal court deals blow to ATF pistol brace rule ahead of gun accessory registration deadline
- Gun rights groups argue ATF lacks the authority to force millions of gun owners to register their weapons equipped with stabilizing braces
- A federal appeals court has temporarily blocked the Biden administration from fully enforcing new regulations on pistols with stabilizing braces, gun accessories that President Biden has called “especially dangerous” after they were used in several mass shootings.
- The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals enjoined the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from enforcing its new rule against gun owners and Second Amendment groups who filed a lawsuit challenging the regulation. The temporary injunction comes days before a deadline for individuals to register their pistol braces with ATF, destroy them, or remove the accessories from their weapons. Those that do not comply with the regulation by May 31 will be forced to pay a fee. The consequences for those that choose not to register their firearm with a stabilizing brace and keep it include up to 10 years’ imprisonment or $10,000 in fines or both, according to ATF.
- Gun rights groups have argued in court that the stabilizing brace rule violates the Constitution by requiring millions of gun owners to register their weapons. The Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), one of the plaintiffs in the case, has called the rule “onerous and unconstitutional.” FPC brought the case to the Fifth Circuit after appealing a lower-court order from a Texas judge who declined to block enforcement of the rule while the challenge proceeds through court.

- In 2023 the FBI finally offered a $500,000 reward for information on the alleged bomber. Maybe they need to check who was on duty that night?

- The FBI then used the security camera footage from the Northern Virginia Metro stop to identify the license plate of a car associated with the suspect. However, the FBI has yet to identify the suspect, despite these leads.
