Trump’s Diesel Threat Worked: G7 Dumps 100 Million Barrels As Europe’s Energy Dependence Laid Bare

  • In the end, Donald Trump’s threat to prohibit diesel exports apparently proved credible after all.
  • Faced with rapidly rising prices at the pump and an emerging acute shortage of middle distillates, from diesel and heating oil to aviation kerosene, the G7 heads of government decided on Friday, under pressure from the US president, to release their own oil reserves.
  • For the EU, the perfect storm is brewing: a rising dollar price, the visible control of the Strait of Hormuz by the US military, as well as rising interest rates in the bond markets amid the threat of a sovereign debt crisis, have made the pressure particularly tangible for the EU states: further rising energy prices will hit the fragile eurozone industrial economy considerably harder than the essentially energy-autonomous United States.

  • French President Emmanuel Macron explained the strategy, which essentially consists of three steps:
  1. First, 100 million barrels will be released from strategic reserves in a coordinated manner over a period of four months. A substantial quantity of diesel is supposed to reach the market within the first 20 days.
  2. Second, the maintenance schedules of the refineries in the participating states are to be better coordinated. The aim is to prevent several facilities from being shut down at the same time – the throughput is above all intended to help reduce the diesel shortage. Where possible, refineries are to temporarily increase their utilization rates. Obviously, this does not resolve the contradiction of how, in the face of destructive climate policy, new refinery capacity could possibly be conjured up in Europe. These projects take long periods of time and, given CO2 certificates and climate regulation, are simply no longer profitable. In the CO2 frenzy, more than 20 percent of refinery capacity had already been destroyed in recent years. This madness is now coming back to haunt them.
  3. As a third measure, the G7 states committed themselves not to impose any export restrictions on energy and petroleum products among themselves. This is precisely where the geopolitical background to the release of these reserves becomes apparent: the conflict between Washington and the EU had recently shifted from trade policy issues to the energy market and has now reached a temporary climax with the release of the reserves.

  • Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), under President Joe Biden and former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, knowingly allowed millions of illegal aliens who overstayed their visas to remain in the United States, classifying them as “non-priority” aliens.
  • A report from DHS Inspector General (IG) Joseph Cuffari details a clear lack of immigration enforcement embedded within the Biden administration — particularly regarding visa overstays.
  • From 2021 to 2024, for instance, ICE received more than 3.1 million leads on visa overstays, about 104,000 of whom were classified as potential national security or public safety threats. Fewer than 500 of those national security/public safety threat leads were investigated by the agency and just eight visa overstays were ultimately arrested.

CDC Issues Correction After Previously Lowballing Data On Guns Used For Self-Defense

  • The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated its webpage regarding firearm injury on Sept. 29 to correct verbiage that underestimated the frequency with which guns are used for self-defense.
  • The CDC had restored information regarding studies of the use of firearms for self-defense on its website in August, reversing a 2022 move made during the Biden administration. The updated verbiage on the site provides a new estimate on “defensive gun uses” (DGU), which had previously been skewed by a survey with a low estimate of DGUs that was later found to have problems.
  • “Estimates of defensive gun use vary depending on the questions asked, populations studied, timeframe, and other factors related to study design. The report Priorities for Research to Reduce the Threat of Firearm-Related Violence indicates a range of 500,000 to 2.5 million defensive gun uses each year,” the site now displays.

The site previously used a much lower figure as the low end of the range of estimates on DGUs.

Or so he thought. Why was it so important for Wray to “allow” the FBI raid at Mar A Lago? Trump is ALWAYS ten steps ahead because he ALREADY knows the enemy playbook. Trump purposely took the “documents” to Mar A Lago. Why? There’s a reason why Trump was dragging his feet on handing over the documents. They were the “bait.” If Trump hands them over, then Jack Smith gets to prosecute Trump in DC and the odds of conviction go much higher. Judge Cannon was appointed by Trump. Here’s where I would strongly suggest that Judge Cannon’s selection for this case, wasn’t random at all. If FISA goes both ways and the Trump team have communications “evidence” of Jack Smith coordinating with members of the Biden White House to frame Trump, then the selection of a Trump appointed judge is “no coincidence.” There was a move to remove her over the case. (Brave search) “She refused to step aside: Shortly after receiving the assignment in June 2023, two more senior colleagues — including Chief Judge Cecilia Altonaga — privately urged her to decline the case and hand it to another judge, partly because she had already presided over a related civil case (Trump’s challenge to the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago search) and had issued rulings favorable to Trump that were later reversed by the Eleventh Circuit. Cannon refused and kept the case.”

Cannon then “slowed down” the prosecution by temporarily blocking prosecutors’ access to seized documents and appointed a special master to review them.
