  • With the Spring selling season in tatters, existing home sales  at 3.2% MoM (and April’s 0.2% MoM rise was revised higher to a +0.7% MoM rise). That lifted existing home sales up 3.22% YoY – the strongest since September 2025…

  • A U.S. Army AH-64 Apache “went down” / “crashed” near the Strait of Hormuz (specifically off the coast of Oman) on the evening of June 8 while on a routine patrol over regional waters.
  • Both crew members (pilot and gunner) were rescued safely within about two hours by U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army (82nd Airborne), and naval drone assets. They are uninjured.

New: Senate Vote-a-Rama Boosts Trump’s SAVE America Act 
  • One of President Trump’s priorities, the SAVE America Act, may be one narrow step closer to passage in the Senate. It’s a narrow step indeed, bordering on being invisible, but it’s there, and it’s a step in the right direction. And it’s a changed vote by Senate Republican Susan Collins (R-ME) that has made this happen.

During the Senate’s marathon “vote-a-rama” to advance the GOP’s $70 billion immigration enforcement package, Republicans tried twice to attach the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act to the massive bill.

They failed both times, with a cohort of Republicans joining Senate Democrats to stymie the effort, which was destined to fail either way given that the amendments from Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Mike Lee, R-Utah, had to break through the filibuster.
