I listened to your spotlight with Box Weir. This all sounds good for people who have money to invest. But what about the people who are struggling to live on Social Security? If I wasn’t getting help from HUD Housing, I would be homeless. Twenty eight years ago I was run over and drug for a block underneath the car for a drunk driver who had a history of drunk driving. The hospital ER called my parents telling them if they wanted to see me alive, they needed to get to the ER. Well I did live but I worked for forty years after that accident struggling with health issues. I can’t even afford to own or buy my own car to drive l. So at age 69 with physical handicaps I can’t afford to buy and own my own car to drive. I have to walk everywhere I need to go. So what is your brain dead advice for me?
Hi Dave/Bix – great discussion. After reading many articles about Taiwan I finally realised what the One China policy means – Taiwan is already part of China! Nixon acknowledged this in 1971. China does not need to occupy Taiwan; it just needs to wait for foreign entities to leave – ie the US mainly. The Chinese are happy to wait – they’ve been waiting since 1945. Old Asian saying – “You(the collective west) have the watches, but we have the time!” I would recommend a read of ‘The Gold Warriors – America’s Secret Recovery of Yamashita’s Gold’ by Sterling and Peggy Seagrave. How Japan looted SE Asia from 1895 to 1845 and how the OSS/CIA took over after the war. The authors are in hiding in after being told by their Australian publisher “They’ll not let you live!”
