In a shocking escalation of violence against federal law enforcement, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents were ambushed and rammed by an armed suspect in Broadview, Illinois, on Saturday morning.

In a win for the Second Amendment and law-abiding gun owners across America, a federal court has ruled that bans on carrying firearms in U.S. Post Offices are unconstitutional.
The ruling also applies to carrying firearms on property surrounding post offices.

O’Connor wrote that the law “is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment with respect to Plaintiffs’ (and their members) possession and carrying of firearms inside of an ordinary United States Post Office or the surrounding Post Office property.” There’s nothing in the order limiting it to Texas and applies to all members of the Second Amendment Foundation and Firearms Policy Coalition.
The complaint was originally filed in June 2024 and the named defendant was then-Attorney General Garland. “So if the government seeks to restrict firearms in a particular location as a ‘sensitive place,’ it must prove that its current restriction is sufficiently analogous to a ‘well-established and representative historical analogue,’” the complaint said.
Trump has called for a formal “non-international armed conflict” against Venezuelan drug cartels. The War Department has been engaged in interdicting and destroying suspected Venezuelan drug smugglers in the open ocean, and this would seem to place an official approval for those actions – or, at least, an official notification to Congress.

It’s unclear if the thieves used the unique Medicare and Medicaid identifying numbers to steal the money. Other scams used a network of Phoenix-based sober living houses to demand government payments for people who never got addiction treatment at the facilities. The facilities, run by ProMD, received $560 million before the feds caught on to the scam. In Atlanta, medical professionals ordered skin grafts for dying patients who didn’t need them. By the time the grift was discovered, they’d scammed Medicare out of $760 million.
People from as far away as Estonia have been arrested. Seven people were found trying to scuttle over the southern U.S. border but were stopped before they got away. Another bunch were caught trying to leave the country from U.S. airports. The bad actors from Russia, Pakistan, and Eastern Europe used the American health care system like their “personal piggy bank,” the Department of Justice’s Acting Criminal Division leader, Matthew Galeotti, said.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) deployed 274 agents to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, many of whom later complained that the bureau was driven by political bias, according to an after-action report obtained by Just The News.
The 50-page document shows the FBI sent agents to the Capitol during the riot, including inside the building, without clear instructions, Just The News reported on Thursday. The report, located by FBI Director Kash Patel’s team, was recently turned over to the House Judiciary Committee’s special subcommittee investigating the incident, according to the outlet.

Amid ongoing soaring tensions between the West and Russia, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) scrambled American fighter jets to identify and intercept four Russian warplanes flying near Alaska.
NORAD indicated in a fresh statement that the incident occurred Wednesday, and involved a pair of Russian Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers and a pair Su-35 fighter jets traversing the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).The US side sent E-3 early warning and control aircraft, and four F-16s and four KC-135 tanker planes, “to positively identify and intercept” the Russian aircraft – NORAD described.
The ADIZ is considered international airspace that borders US and Canadian sovereign airspace. Such an action by Russian aerial forces has become somewhat routine, but has occurred more frequently over the last couple years, also as war continues to rage in Ukraine.
As we detailed before, in September 2024 NORAD released footage of a Russian plane flying “within just a few feet” of US military aircraft near the coast of Alaska, prompting a general to say at the time that the Russian Su-35 plane’s conduct “was unsafe, unprofessional, and endangered all.”
NORAD has previously acknowledged that Russian bomber flights near Alaska occur “regularly”. But recently China has even begun to join some Russian patrols of northern Pacific areas, including areas extending near Alaska.

A federal judge on Wednesday refused to reinstate eight inspectors general who were fired by Trump and sued to regain their jobs.
Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee, said President Trump violated the law by firing the inspectors general, but she has no authority to reinstate them.
“[Under] well-established case law that this Court is bound to follow, Plaintiffs must show irreparable harm. And they cannot. Even assuming that the IGA comports with Article II, Plaintiffs’ inability to perform their duties for 30 days is not irreparable harm.
