The Norwegian government had some more luck this week. Following Oslo Airport being shut by a drone on Monday, they were able to capture it and arrested the owner — “a man in his 50s”, per Norwegian state media — for questioning.
It is not yet known whether the drone events in Denmark at Copenhagen, Aalborg, Esbjerg, Sønderborg and Skrydstrupand airports, and in Norway’s Oslo airport are related.

Amid ongoing soaring tensions between the West and Russia, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) scrambled American fighter jets to identify and intercept four Russian warplanes flying near Alaska.
NORAD indicated in a fresh statement that the incident occurred Wednesday, and involved a pair of Russian Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers and a pair Su-35 fighter jets traversing the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).The US side sent E-3 early warning and control aircraft, and four F-16s and four KC-135 tanker planes, “to positively identify and intercept” the Russian aircraft – NORAD described.
The ADIZ is considered international airspace that borders US and Canadian sovereign airspace. Such an action by Russian aerial forces has become somewhat routine, but has occurred more frequently over the last couple years, also as war continues to rage in Ukraine.
As we detailed before, in September 2024 NORAD released footage of a Russian plane flying “within just a few feet” of US military aircraft near the coast of Alaska, prompting a general to say at the time that the Russian Su-35 plane’s conduct “was unsafe, unprofessional, and endangered all.”
NORAD has previously acknowledged that Russian bomber flights near Alaska occur “regularly”. But recently China has even begun to join some Russian patrols of northern Pacific areas, including areas extending near Alaska.

A federal judge on Wednesday refused to reinstate eight inspectors general who were fired by Trump and sued to regain their jobs.
Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee, said President Trump violated the law by firing the inspectors general, but she has no authority to reinstate them.
“[Under] well-established case law that this Court is bound to follow, Plaintiffs must show irreparable harm. And they cannot. Even assuming that the IGA comports with Article II, Plaintiffs’ inability to perform their duties for 30 days is not irreparable harm. Moreover, if the IGs were reinstated, the President could lawfully remove them after 30 days by providing the required notice and rationale to Congress,” Judge Reyes wrote.

A man in his forties has been arrested in connection to a cyber attack that knocked out automatic check-in systems at some of Europe’s busiest airports last week.

Banks were under intense shareholder and stakeholder pressure to cut their exposure to fossil fuels and align their lending portfolios to the Paris Agreement goals.

‘The police have launched an intensive investigation to determine what kind of drones these are’, Copenhagen Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Jakob Hansen told reporters. ‘The drones have disappeared and we have not taken any of them’, he added.”
The website for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport briefly went down Friday as technology employees worked to protect it following a cyberattack, Hartsfield-Jackson officials said.
The airport’s IT team detected a denial-of-service (DoS) attack on the website Friday morning, a Hartsfield-Jackson spokesperson said.
“The team followed protocol and implemented a standard set of protections to ensure the availability of the website, resulting in a momentary delay before presenting the website,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
There was no impact on airport operations, the spokesperson said.

The federal government is taking steps to warn doctors and patients about possible risks linked to one of the nation’s most commonly used pain medications.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Monday that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will issue a physicians’ notice on the potential dangers of using acetaminophen during pregnancy and begin the process of adding a new safety warning label.
The Trump administration is taking long-overdue action to protect women from the dangerous abortion pill mifepristone, after decades of reckless approvals and loosened safeguards under Clinton, Obama and Biden.
Since its approval in 2000, mifepristone has been used by an estimated 7.5 million American women to end an unborn child. The drug is a two-part process typically taken up to 10 weeks in the pregnancy.
The FDA has received reports of serious side effects from the drug. By law, the FDA can require special safety rules, called a ‘REMS’ program, if a drug poses serious risks. Recent studies, including one mentioned by the attorneys general, suggest that women could be at risk if the drug is provided without enough medical supervision.

The UN has announced it will need to cut $500m from their 2026 budget and will lay off 20% of its staff as it struggles to cope with a massive reduction in funding by the Trump administration. Trump has eliminated at least $1 billion in total funding from the UN.
The plan is likely to involve an initial minimum 3,000 job cuts out of a 35,000-strong main workforce, with eventual job losses at around 7,000. The overall UN core or regular budget would be cut from $3.7bn to about $3.2bn next year. It means reductions of 15.1% in resources and 18.8% in posts in the regular budget compared with the 2025 budget.

To initiate the convention, 34 states (two-thirds) must pass resolutions. Any proposed amendments during the convention would require ratification by 38 states (three-fourths) to become law, which supporters claim is the stop-gap preventing what critics warn could devolve into a “runaway convention.”
Nineteen states to date have passed the Convention of States Article V application, with an additional six states granting passage in one chamber but not yet the other. Twenty-one other states are actively considering the Convention of States Resolution.

Many Americans are simply not aware of how much of the global economy survives by siphoning cash and jobs from the US through immigration (legal and illegal). If they knew, they would probably have demanded that the door on H-1B visas be slammed shut much sooner.
To understand why India’s government is so rattled by Trump’s decision we have to look at the bigger picture, which includes remittances and the demand for US dollars overseas.
First, the $100,000 fee imposed on H-1B visas will kill the program. It is, effectively, an H-1B travel ban without going through the long process of officially rescinding the Immigration Act of 1990. The fee is paid by the company hiring the foreign workers and a $100,000 markup would mean only the most valuable employees would be worth the cost. Many critics of open border policies argue that this is a good thing. The narrative has long been that American companies need foreign workers because:
1) Americans won’t work in jobs that foreigners are willing to do.
2) There aren’t enough American workers with the skills required to fill certain job sets.
These excuses are generally a distraction from the real reason – Third world immigrants are willing to work for up to 30% less than their American counterparts. Why? Because the US dollar’s buying power in a third world economy more than makes up for the 30% loss in wages. For example, an income of $2000 US per month equates to an “upper class lifestyle” in India.
In other words, it’s a win-win-lose scenario: The corporations win on lower labor costs, the third world migrants win by wiring their wages back home where they will buy far more, and the average American worker loses out on job opportunities.
India accounts for 71% of H-1B visa holders and is expected to be hit hardest by the new fees. Currently, around 300,000 “high-skilled” Indian workers, mostly in the technology industry, are on H-1B visas in the US. The term “high skilled” is up for interpretation, many migrant workers lie about their skill sets before coming to the US and offer little in comparison to the average US worker in the same field.

Gunshots were fired at an ABC affiliate station in Sacramento, California, on Friday afternoon after Jimmy Kimmel’s show was suspended.
According to police, a vehicle pulled up to the station and a suspect fired three gunshots into the window.
There was one person in the lobby at the time of the shooting, but no one was struck. Police arrested 64-year-old Anibal Hernandez Santana on Saturday and charged him with three felonies.

A cyberattack targeting check-in and boarding systems disrupted air traffic and caused delays at several of Europe’s major airports on Saturday, officials said, though the initial impact appeared to be limited.

Broadcasters are different than any other form of communication, including here. We’re on cable right now. Fox News doesn’t have an FCC license, CNN doesn’t. But ABC, CBS, NBC, those broadcast stations do. And with that license comes a unique obligation to operate in the public interest. And over the years, the FCC walked away from enforcing that public interest obligation. I don’t think we’re better off as a country for it. But look, President Trump ran directly at these legacy broadcast outlets and he exposed them to these market forces, and a lot of these affiliate groups said, to your point, “We’re tired of carrying this stuff.” Late night shows, something’s gone seriously awry there. They went from going from laugh lines to applause lines, from being court jesters that would make fun of everybody in power to being court clerics enforcing a very narrow political ideology.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James, long claiming to be a public champion of tenants’ rights, has herself been in violation of New York City’s rent stabilization laws for more than two decades.
Since purchasing a four-story apartment building at 296 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn in 2001, James has failed to register the property with the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) as required for rent-stabilized buildings.
By failing to register, she denied her tenants the protections of rent stabilization, while collecting rents above the legally regulated amounts for 24 years.
New York City’s housing code is based on its “Rent Stabilization Law of 1969,” which was designed to shield tenants from large rent raises, unlawful deregulation, and eviction abuses.

It sets yearly allowable rent increases, typically at around 3% per year. The law applies to qualifying buildings and requires landlords to register with DHCR and file annual reports on tenants, rents, and lease terms.
The NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) issues Certificates of Occupancy to establish the legal number of units in properties. That designation is the one and only controlling legal authority for unit count. The three most recent Certificates of Occupancy for Letitia James’s building at 296 Lafayette Avenue are:
1961: Authorized as seven (7) family units, with the building officially designated as a “Class A Multiple Dwelling.”
1981: Two decades later, the legal unit count was reduced to four (4) apartments, reflecting an authorized combining of units.
2001: This Certificate of Occupancy updated the building to a FIVE (5) FAMILY DWELLING, which remains its designation today.
The Rent Stabilization Law of 1969 said that any building constructed before January 1, 1974, with six or more apartments, is subject to “Rent Stabilization” laws.
The critical point for Letitia James is that, according to the 1961 Certificate of Occupancy, the last one before the passage of the Rent Stabilization Law in 1969, her building at 296 Lafayette Avenue had seven (7) units. This meant that when the law took effect in 1969, James’s building was permanently entered into rent stabilization program.
Once a building is subject to rent stabilization, that status “runs with the building” forever. Later reductions down to four units, or back up to five units, can never legally strip the building of its original rent stabilization regulatory status.
Courts and DHCR have repeatedly emphasized that a landlord cannot deregulate a property from rent stabilization by simply reducing the number of units through alterations or new Certificates of Occupancy.
In Gersten v. 56 7th Ave. LLC (2005), New York’s highest court held that rent stabilization coverage cannot be destroyed by unilateral landlord action.
Despite her registration requirements, public records show that Letitia James has never registered 296 Lafayette Avenue with DHCR since her purchase in 2001. Nor has she filed the required annual tenant registrations for any of her building’s apartments.
The consequences of James’s failure to register are significant. Under RSC § 2528.4, a landlord who fails to register may not lawfully collect any rent increases. Having never registered since 2001, any rent increases by James since 2001 were unlawful.

More than 100 Texas educators are now facing the end of their teaching careers after posting vile, hateful, and violent content celebrating the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk.
Governor Greg Abbott announced on Sunday that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has begun investigations into teachers who cheered Kirk’s murder and even incited additional violence online.
Abbott confirmed that these educators will not only have their teaching certifications suspended but will also be permanently barred from working in Texas public schools.
In a strongly worded letter to superintendents, TEA Commissioner Mike Morath condemned the educators’ despicable behavior, noting that such conduct may constitute violations of the Educators’ Code of Ethics.

A now-deleted X account appears to have had prior knowledge of the brutal assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and subsequently posted a threatening date for President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump on Monday signed an order sending the National Guard into Memphis to combat crime, constituting his latest test of the limits of presidential power by using military force in American cities.
Trump made the announcement with Republican Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee visiting the Oval Office, calling what’s coming a “replica of our extraordinarily successful efforts” in Washington.

French President Emmanuel Macron has privately admitted that NATO is the driving force behind the Ukraine conflict, prominent American economist Jeffrey Sachs has said.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will present data linking COVID-19 vaccines to the deaths of dozens of children.
According to several media reports, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) will meet Thursday and Friday to review and recommend several vaccines, including this fall’s updated Covid shots.
The FDA is basing its claim on data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), a public database run jointly by the FDA and CDC.
Researchers from a large health care system in Michigan found that vaccinated children were more likely to develop a chronic health condition, but never published the findings, according to a copy of the study obtained by The Epoch Times.
Dr. Marcus Zervos, an infectious disease specialist at the Henry Ford Health, and colleagues studied 18,468 children born between 2000 and 2016 who were enrolled in the health system’s insurance plan, drawing data from medical, clinical, and payer records and supplementing with information from Michigan’s immunization registry.
After 10 years, 57 percent of the vaccinated children had a chronic health condition such as asthma, compared to just 17 percent of the unvaccinated children.
“This study found that exposure to vaccination was independently associated with an overall 2.5-fold increase in the likelihood of developing a chronic health condition, when compared to children unexposed to vaccination,” the authors wrote. “This association was primarily driven by asthma, atopic disease, eczema, autoimmune disease and neurodevelopmental disorders. This suggests that in certain children, exposure to vaccination may increase the likelihood of developing a chronic health condition, particularly for one of these conditions.”
The study was first reported by Aaron Siri, managing partner of Siri & Glimstad LLP, this month in his book, Vaccines, Amen: The Religion of Vaccines.
“This report was not published because it did not meet the rigorous scientific standards we demand as a premier medical research institution,” a spokesperson for Henry Ford Health told The Epoch Times in an email.
“The only real problem with this study—and why it didn’t get submitted for publication—is that its findings did not fit the belief and the policy that ‘vaccines are safe,’” Siri said during a Senate hearing in Washington on Sept. 9. “Had it found vaccinated children were healthier, it no doubt would have been published immediately. President Trump announced he will deploy the National Guard to Memphis, calling the city “deeply troubled.” Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, a Democrat, urged the administration not to send troops and said he may pursue legal action. “We will do everything in our power to prevent this incursion into Tennessee and to protect the rights, safety, and dignity of every resident,” Harris declared.
Crime has been rampant in U.S. cities, especially under Democrat leadership in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago, Boston, and New York. Officials in these cities have been accused of manipulating statistics to suggest crime is at historic lows, downgrading offenses, releasing illegal immigrants without bail, and only counting convictions, even though many offenders never returned for trial.

US Senate Republicans invoked the nuclear option to speed up the confirmation of President Donald Trump’s nominees.
The 53-45 vote came after nearly five hours of bipartisan talks.
Senate Republicans are now on track to confirm four dozen Trump nominees in the next week.
Grace Chong added this, “The nuclear option allows Senate Majority Leader John Thune to group an unlimited number of sub-Cabinet nominees into a single bloc. It’s a dramatic overhaul of the chamber’s rules that comes amid a historic Democratic slow-walking effort.”
