- Essentially, we have been flummoxed over why President Trump has not yet triggered the 6-month USMCA (CUSMA) termination notice yet. However, he appears to be intentionally drawing this out.
- the moves President Trump is making now are all just to prolong economic pain and block investment while retaining the termination notice as the hidden ace. [VIA TRUTH SOCIAL]
- Why this approach?
- Well, right now American communists and those with TPS status changes are fleeing to Canada; a human sedimentation tank.
- Bring back the corporations who set up shop in Canada and swap them for outbound, dependent leftists.

They’ve been ripping us off for decades, and it’s going to stop. This should have happened long ago with other Presidents, just as stopping Iran should have happened long ago. They want to be treated like a State, but they aren’t one. I deal with the Leadership of many Countries, but I find Canada to be the worst. They are entitled no longer! President DONALD J. TRUMP
BREAKING: President Trump says he is going to fill up the US Strategic Oil Reserve with Venezuelan oil.

The SPR does not store extra-heavy Venezuelan crude. DOE specifications for both the sweet and sour streams require roughly 30–45° API gravity (with tight limits on sulfur, viscosity, pour point, acid number, and yields). Most Venezuelan oil from the Orinoco Belt is 8–16° API extra-heavy sour that is too viscous to pump reliably in the Gulf Coast salt caverns and would contaminate the existing inventory. Officials have already acknowledged this mismatch.
Trump’s team would therefore treat Venezuelan oil as a bargaining chip and feedstock, not as a direct pour into the caverns. The playbook that fits his prior statements and the January 2026 DOE fact sheet looks like this:
- The joint venture gives the U.S. 55% effective control and the right to take oil at cost. Those barrels go to Gulf Coast refiners already configured for heavy sour (the same plants that historically ran Venezuelan, Maya, and Canadian heavy). In exchange, the refiners or U.S. producers deliver medium-sour domestic crude that meets SPR specs directly into the caverns. This swap idea was floated inside the administration earlier in 2026; DOE publicly denied it was “currently” under consideration then, but the structure of the new deal makes it the obvious workaround.
The U.S. is already planning to send light U.S. crude into Venezuela as diluent so the extra-heavy oil can even be produced and shipped. The same blending can be done on the U.S. side to push a portion of the stream into the 27–45° API window some recent SPR purchase contracts allow for blended cargoes. It is imperfect and volume-limited, but it lets Trump claim “Venezuelan oil” is entering the system.
- Sell the heavy, buy the right spec. The administration has already marketed 30–50 million barrels of Venezuelan crude through U.S.-controlled accounts. Proceeds (or the physical barrels themselves) can be used to purchase compliant U.S. or imported medium crude for SPR injection. This keeps the “gift” narrative while avoiding operational problems inside the caverns.
In short: he would not try to pump 10° API tar into salt caverns. He would use control of the barrels to force swaps, blends, and purchases that put SPR-spec oil into the ground while still being able to say the oil came from the Venezuelan deal
Why the September Rate Hike Won’t Happen
Wall Street expects the Federal Reserve to respond to renewed price pressure with another rate rise in September. That judgment mistakes a supply shock for a demand-driven inflation problem.
Supply shocks change relative prices; they are… pic.twitter.com/k8MNQfHGCw
— James E. Thorne (@DrJStrategy) August 31, 2026
not, by themselves, inflationary.
The Keynesian case depends on second- and third-order effects, higher costs feeding into wages, broader prices and then expectations, producing a self-reinforcing spiral. That theoretical sequence rarely materialises.
Two-year inflation breakevens remain well anchored. Once again, Keynesians appear to be misdiagnosing the inflation problem. The real economy offers a second warning. Softer employment conditions and recessionary pressure across interest-rate-sensitive sectors, from housing and construction to consumer durables, make further tightening difficult to justify.
For Kevin Warsh, ending the Fed’s hall of mirrors requires a more balanced reaction function. One that gives equal weight to the supply side of the economy.
It would recognise that rate rises can impede the adjustment of supply, investment and productive capacity; that much of the data guiding policy is lagging, revised and imperfect; and that higher interest rates are not a cure-all for every increase in measured prices. The era of a reflexively Keynesian Fed reaction function may be nearing its end.

WINTER IS COMING: Russia Announces Upcoming Massive Strikes Against Ukrainian Power Generation and Energy Facilities https://t.co/C2Ojye6Lk8

- The drone in question was a limited distance quadcopter that needed to be remotely operated from a visible location. Everything about the Leipzig airport drone attack story was sketchy {BACKGROUND}. Germany said they were investigating the failed “attack” and now reports are surfacing that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is likely to pin the blame on Russia. Because of course he is.
- Together with the U.K and France, Germany is one of the key NATO partners in the so-called ‘coalition of the willing’. German bases are currently being used by NATO allies to stage their Ukraine military support and logistics.
- The German economy is in a severe state of contraction, opposition political parties are gaining momentum and Merz, like Macron, needs a distraction.
- Again, more datapoints for last week’s trip by CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Moscow, shortly before Russia began having extraordinary success locating and hitting Ukraine ammunition warehouses. Is the Trump administration trying to head-off a NATO effort to expand the conflict? Time will tell.

As we reported:
Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for Central Command, said that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps forces had been observed preparing to launch rockets armed with mines from Larak Island into the waters of the surrounding strait, a vital shipping waterway for oil and gas.
“In essence, Iran created the threat, and the U.S. military eliminated it to protect civilian mariners, commercial shipping, and the free flow of global commerce,” CENTCOM said.
Iran then launched attacks on Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Iranian regime claimed it attacked King Hussein and Al-Azraq air bases (that the U.S. uses). It also claimed it destroyed “technical and maintenance infrastructure and the enemy’s fighter jets’ deployment sites.”
The IRGC also said it targeted U.S. military personnel on an air base in the United Arab Emirates.
But as is typical with Iran, the truth is somewhat different from what it claims.
The Jordanian Armed Forces said Sunday it intercepted eight missiles that had entered the country’s airspace, according to Jordan’s Al-Mamlaka TV broadcaster.
A spokesperson for the military said all eight missiles were destroyed before they could do any damage, according to the broadcaster.
A person familiar with the attack also confirmed to CBS News the missiles were intercepted, although they did not specify how many.
Then, the UAE also knocked down the Iranian claims.
In a short statement, the Defense Ministry said it “dealt with” an Iranian drone that was detected over its waters approaching from Iran. There were no reports of damage.
The UAE Defense Ministry later issued a second statement denying a claim by the Iranian army that the Al Minhad Air Base in Dubai had been targeted, saying it was false.

Kharg Island is the crown jewel of Iran’s energy industry. Before the war, the island handled approximately 90 percent of the regime’s oil exports.
President Donald Trump also posted a video about an attack on Kharg Island, something he has talked about in the past, with an AI-generated video. There is no current attack, so this appears to be a threat meant to send a message to Iran if it continues to act badly.
The strategy in Iran remains the same. Hold the current position, and Iran will continue to implode.

how you run a real military. We are in great shape around the world. This story isn’t about readiness. It’s TDS and PDS — they hate President Trump and Secretary Hegseth more than they love America.
- It takes zero imagination to understand why this story was leaked to the Washington Post. Someone in a senior staff position doesn’t want to continue prosecuting the military action against Iran. They lost the internal policy battle with Hegseth and the White House. So now they are trying to sabotage the administration by creating the narrative that the military is against the operation and continuing it is reckless. I’d even go so far as to say that we can identify where, generically, the leak came from.
- This is not fun and games. This is a violation of one’s oath to the Constitution whether the leaker is military or civilian. Unless an order or policy is illegal, immoral, or unethical, bringing that classified, internal debate into the public sphere is something only a very small and corrupt person would do.
Here’s how a leak like this can get an American killed:
Somewhere tonight, an adversary’s intelligence staff is reading the same story we are. They don’t need the whole war plan. They just need fragments: which commanders think the force is stretched, where senior leaders… https://t.co/iNnW21i97u
— InfantryDort (@infantrydort) August 30, 2026
perceive growing risk, how long commitments may continue. They combine those fragments with what they already know and make a calculation they couldn’t make yesterday. Maybe they calculate wrong. Maybe they don’t. A gamble. But somewhere downstream of that gamble is a 22 year old American standing watch who never saw the classified document and had absolutely nothing to do with Washington politics. That is the pure unadulterated obscenity of operational leaks during combat operations. The person gambling with the secret is almost never the person whose blood is on the table. Never pity any journalist who puts our men and women in these situations. Ever.
- the Washington Post delivered to our enemies, everywhere, was classified information that the U.S. military is stretched to the breaking point and its leadership doesn’t believe it can handle the missions on its plate. True or false, it doesn’t matter. What is the message to China? Closer in, what is the message to Iran? Hunker down and wait. Continue combat operations because the U.S. is afraid of depleting defensive systems. The Navy wants to stop its blockade, so just take the pain and wait them out.

- NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani received overwhelming support for his election from the city’s largest teachers union, the United Federation of Teachers (UFT).
- Mamdani thanked them by filing a lawsuit to stop a pay raise for education paraprofessionals.
- In July, the New York City Council passed the “RESPECT Check Act,” giving public-school paraprofessionals, like teacher aides, a one-time $10,000 “workforce stabilization” payment.
- The Act was passed by the Council unanimously and became law without the mayor’s signature.
- Although Mamdani supported a version of the bill in the past, now that he is comfortable in the Mayor’s seat, he has changed his mind.
He argued that the Act violates New York State’s Taylor Law and ultimately filed a lawsuit against the city.
In response, the UFT filed a motion to intervene last week, preparing to take the issue to court if Mamdani continues to fight the measure.

Look at the language. Eric Holder set this up.

affirmation is to check the box, the negative response is to leave it blank. Understand? Then, all blank flagged DMV registrations (the empty box) can be directed to the Sec of State registrar under the guise of ‘benefit of doubt.’ That’s what they do. “I am eligible to vote in U.S. elections” with a YES or NO box option are legit. “I am eligible to vote in U.S. elections” with only a YES box are fraud. Eric Holder first set that up in California in 2017/2018. That’s where the test of the system took place. Xavier Becerra was California AG at the time.
There's a reason why this guy surfaces every time U.S. election specifics are discussed.

President Trump’s Plan
- Federal prosecutors have convened a rarely used special grand jury to investigate attendance, truancy and graduation practices inside Washington, D.C.’s scandal-plagued public school system.
- The sprawling investigation reportedly centers on how the Democrat-run District supervises and protects young people, and whether its schools are accurately documenting student attendance and awarding diplomas.
- Preliminary data shows that 50.4% of D.C. students in grades nine through 12 were chronically truant during the 2025–2026 school year, meaning they missed at least 10% of the school year without an accepted excuse.
- Meanwhile, 57% of D.C. high school students were chronically absent for either excused or unexcused reasons.
- The numbers at several individual high schools are even more staggering:
- Ballou High School: 84.4% chronically truant
- Anacostia High School: 84.1%
- Dunbar High School: 79.6%
- Eastern High School: 78.5%
- H.D. Woodson High School: 77.6%
- Roosevelt High School: 72.7%
- At Ballou, more than eight out of every ten students were classified as chronically truant.
- Yet Ballou reported that 136 of the 153 students in its 2025 graduating cohort received diplomas, a graduation rate of 88.9%. That was a jump of more than ten percentage points from the previous year.
- The graduation and truancy figures cover different student populations, and the publicly available data does not establish that chronically truant students were among those who graduated. But the apparent disconnect is certain to raise questions—particularly given Ballou’s ugly history.
- Pirro has repeatedly connected widespread truancy with juvenile crime, curfew violations and the violent “teen takeovers” that have terrorized residents and businesses across the capital.
- “We’re coming for you, and we’re coming for your parents,” Pirro warned.

- A prosecutor in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office accused agency leaders of directing him to pursue President Donald Trump and other Trump-linked individuals and organizations without a legitimate basis.
- Assistant Attorney General Daniel Wiesenfeld made the allegations in an agency-wide email Friday, claiming his supervisor instructed him to “find and pursue crimes” involving Trump, Truth Social and other entities despite what he described as a lack of credible justification.
- The email was quickly removed from the inboxes of thousands of employees, according to the Times Union.
- Wiesenfeld was later placed on administrative leave with pay.
- A federal grand jury issued a subpoena to James Comey’s mole, Daniel Richman, as part of a new investigation into Comey’s leaking classified information to The New York Times.
- James Comey knew his ‘friend’ Daniel Richman was talking to the media, backing up claims in then-Interim US Attorney Lindsey Halligan’s case against the former FBI Director.
- Comey was clearly working with Daniel Richman to anonymously leak information about Hillary Clinton’s email scandal to the New York Times.
- This contradicts Comey’s claims that he was being maliciously prosecuted.
