  • The number of homes that sold at a loss was four times the national average 
  • Sellers losing money is sitting near the highest level in more than a decade 
  • Nearly one in five homes sold in San Francisco have sold at a loss in recent months – way above the national rate.

  • A recent research paper by four noted economists, including Larry Summers, the former Treasury Secretary under Barack Obama and former Harvard President, discovered that the real inflation rate during the Biden years, using pre-1983 calculations reached 18% in 2022.

Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) introduced the Fair Tax Act, which included language to abolish the personal income tax and rein in the IRS.
  • But nothing has come of the Fair Tax Act, and even that bill would simply shift taxes from the personal income tax to a national consumption tax similar to European VAT taxes.  America does not need another form of taxation, especially one where the level of tax can easily be raised, as with state sales taxes.  What America needs is lower spending levels and the elimination of all taxes on individuals.

  • The House of Representatives on Friday passed legislation to continue their FISA warrantless spying on American citizens and give themselves a corrupt carveout from surveillance after hitting a snag earlier this week.

 

  • The final vote on Section 702 of the Foreign Surveillance Act was 273-147, with 126 Republicans in favor of betraying the American people. The legislation now heads to the Democrat-led Senate where it will presumably pass and then be signed into law by Joe Biden.

CISA Confirms Russian-Backed Hackers Behind Cyber Attack 

  • The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued an emergency directive mandating urgent steps for federal agencies to mitigate the risk posed by the hacker group.
  • Specifically, the directive applies to federal civilian executive branch agencies (FCEB) targeted by Midnight Blizzard, a Russian state-sponsored actor that accessed Microsoft corporate email accounts.
  • CISA’s Thursday directive told federal agencies to take “steps to identify the full content of the agency correspondence with compromised Microsoft accounts and perform a cybersecurity impact analysis.”
  • They were also told to analyze potentially compromised emails, reset compromised credentials, and enhance security measures for privileged Microsoft Azure accounts.
