  • President Joe Biden appeared to indicate  that will not meet with Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy as a potential government shutdown looms, according to a White House pool report.
  • Congress has until Saturday to pass a continuing resolution (C.R.) or approve 12 appropriations bills in order to avoid a government shutdown, though infighting within the Republican party continues to allow such a threat to continue.

Russian Black Sea Commander Seen In Video The Day After Ukraine Said It Killed Him 

  • On Monday Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces announced in a Telegram post that “the commander” of the Black Sea Fleet was among 34 officers killed in last Friday’s attack on the fleet’s headquarters in Sevastopol. The fleet’s commander is Viktor Sokolov. The statement claimed that he was killed, and that there were additionally “dozens of dead and wounded occupants, including the senior leadership of the fleet.”
  • But on Tuesday Russian television aired fresh images of Viktor Sokolov attending a meeting of military leaders, the day after Ukraine announced he supposedly died. “In video and photographs released by the Russian defense ministry and shown on state television on Tuesday, Sokolov is seen taking part in a video conference with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and other top admirals and army chiefs,” Al Jazeera writes.

 

  • But in showing Sokolov attending the meeting this week, it appears this Ukrainian claim has been officially proven false.

The risk of contracting long COVID may have been exaggerated due to flawed research, leading to unnecessarily high levels of anxiety about suffering from it, a new study has suggested.

“Major flaws” in the literature on the condition likely exaggerated the true threat of contracting it, the new research argues.

For most people with COVID-19, they feel better within days or weeks, but some can have symptoms for longer than three months. Now, researchers from the UK, along with Denmark and the USA, say “many scientific publications” overestimated the prevalence of long COVID because of “overly broad definitions, lack of control groups, inappropriate control groups, and other methodological flaws”.

Instead, the authors of the new study argue that the symptoms are common among upper respiratory viruses.

The research team said this lack of definition could end up leading to an increase in healthcare spending and more anxiety, as well as misdiagnoses and a diversion of funds.

    Dave, you are awesome!!! I listen every day! Wealth of insightful information. While I’ve been awake since 2020, maybe a lot earlier huge Rush follower. But you have help me to wake up others. It’s so frustrating how and why it takes so many close to me to wake up!!

    An election, is not about ballets. An election, is about votes. The integrity of the counting room must be restored. A vote, like a public (not private) currency, represents the sanction of the people, not the ballet.

    Hi Dave,
    Just want to thank you for all of your hard work and insight into the mess that is our United States! Wonderful commentary, very well put together. Got thinking about what President Trump said in May of 2021, if you steal the diamonds from the jewelry store, you must give them back. Many commented that this was in regards to the theft of the 2020 election. What happens if there were many more diamonds taken as a bribe than just the one we know about in the Biden case? Do you think President Trump was being literal ? I think perhaps he knows much more than he lets on, just throwing out hints. It would explain the ability for certain government servants to afford multiple multimillion dollar homes. Difficult to trace, hard to prove. Again, thank you! You have made much sense out of nonsense.

    AGAIN, you contradict yourself. You say, “…THEY believe THEY are in control….”
    While on the other hand, you say, “…the military is in control. THEY HAVE been in control since 11-03-2020…”
    Really? So you think THEY don’t know the military is in control??? If you supposedly know the military is in control, the Deep-State certainly knows that, yet you tell us, “THEY think they are in control.”
    You should get your stories straight in your script, before podcasting them.
