Busted: Joe Biden Intervened To Help Hunter’s Lobbying Efforts On Multiple Occasions

  • Joe Biden intervened at least two times on matters his son Hunter’s firms was being paid to lobby on, according to government records
  • The incidents took place when Biden was a senior and influential US senator, years before he infamously leveraged his position as Vice President to benefit a Ukrainian gas company whose board Hunter sat on.
  • On Feb 28, 2007, then-Senator Biden reached out to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to let them know that he was “concerned about the Department’s proposed chemical security regulations authorized by Section 550 of DHS Appropriations Act of 2007.”
  • The rule, passed in 2006 as part of the DHS appropriations bill, requires chemical plants considered to be high-risk submit site safety plans to DHS for approval – which are to include security credentialing and employee training efforts.
  • Two months earlier, Hunter Biden’s firm was hired by the Industrial Safety Training Council to lobby DHS on the issue, earning $200,000 between early 2007 and the end of 2008. Of note, Hunter did not register as an individual lobbyist for the trade association while he was one of three partners at the firm at the time.

The trade group, which represents companies that provide safety training for chemical facility employees, was mounting a heavy lobbying campaign over section 550, submitting congressional testimony about the need to expand background checks for chemical plant employees.

The Industrial Safety Training Council was seeking to expand the “language in DHS legislation regarding security clearance and credentialing for chemical facility employees and employers” in January 2007, according to lobbying disclosure records.  

  • The second example of Joe Biden intervening on matters his son was involved in occurred on January 31, 2007 – after he sent a letter to US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to request a meeting to discuss expanding the federal fingerprint background check system while Hunter’s firm was lobbying for a coalition of state-level criminal justice advocates (SEARCH) for the exact same thing.
  • “I write to request your assistance in implementing an expanded background check system for our nation’s volunteer organizations,” then-Senator Biden wrote Gonzales. “If we can work together to expand the number of volunteer organizations that have access to fast, accurate, and inexpensive fingerprint background checks, we will make significant and important strides in our ongoing effort to protect kids across our country.”
  • “I would like to convene a small meeting with key representatives” from DOJ, the FBI, members of Congress and volunteer groups, he continued.

One of Hunter’s firm’s lobbying clients at the time, a coalition of state-level criminal justice advocates called SEARCH, was also lobbying the federal government for a broader fingerprint screening system at the time.

The same day as Biden’s letter, SEARCH adopted a resolution calling on Congress to consider “any effort to improve the quality, completeness and accessibility of criminal history records” and expand the current system to “allow the return of all criminal history record information maintained by the States on the search subject through a single fingerprint check.”

  •  Judge Beryl Howell has ruled (full pdf below) an impeachment by unilateral decree is constitutionally valid; and as an outcome House Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler can have access to some of the Mueller grand jury material that was used as evidence in the “Mueller-Weissmann Report”.
  • It’s important to note Judge Howell granted access to only that grand jury material that was used in the Mueller Report, not a blanket authority to gain all witness testimony or grand jury material writ large.  However, having said that, the most troubling part of the decision is the background construct of the Weissmann team’s original objective.
  • From the outset; from the moment they started; from day number one; Weissmann, Lawfare and crew (Mueller was a special counsel figurehead only) always intended for the grand jury material to be handed to Chairman Jerry Nadler for the specific purposes of writing articles of impeachment.   This is absolutely critical to remember.
  • The originating goal was to use the special counsel investigation to assemble evidence of obstruction. Then to frame the assembly of all evidence toward the future goal of writing articles of impeachment.  This was the sole purpose of their coordination with Lawfare.
  • The  plan was proceeding smoothly until AG Bill Barr was nominated and Rosenstein’s facilitation of the Lawfare crew was stopped.
  • All of the material in the grand jury file is there for a specific reason.  No evidence that refutes the obstruction case was ever presented.  This was a careful assembly, planned with forethought, toward a very specific purpose.  That’s why Chairman Nadler and his hired Lawfare contractors were so adamant about gaining access to it.  Nadler already knows what is there.
  • Andrew Weissman built the illusion of obstruction into the Mueller investigation; but Weissmann could not produce a final report specifically claiming obstruction took place because his collection was not based in material fact.  Weissman and crew built the illusion of obstruction blended with some radical legal theories.
  • That’s the material Nadler-Lawfare want now.
  • The patriots understand this,  the DOJ will appeal Judge Howell’s precedent setting ruling to the DC appellate court.  The timing would normally be quite lengthy for the process;

CA Gov Newsom Declares State Of Emergency Over Wildfires,  

  • California Governor Gavin Newsom announced yesterday that California has secured a FEMA grant to help in the Kincade Fire response.

The grant will help “ensure the availability of resources” and “also enables local, state, and tribal agencies to recover eligible costs.”

“We are grateful for the swift approval of our request to ensure all resources are available to support the heroic work of our firefighters and first responders working to contain this fire and keep local communities safe,” said Governor Newsom.

The FEMA grant will assist local, state, and tribal agencies responding to the fire to apply for 75% reimbursement of their eligible fire suppression costs.

News of Bin Laden’s Death and Funeral 10 days ago

A prominent official in the Afghan Taleban movement announced yesterday the death of Osama bin Laden, the chief of al-Qa’da organization, stating that binLaden suffered serious complications in the lungs and died a natural and quiet death.

The official, who asked to remain anonymous, stated to The Observer of Pakistan that he had himself attended the funeral of bin Laden and saw his face prior to burial in Tora Bora 10 days ago. He mentioned that 30 of al-Qa’da fighters attended the burial as well as members of his family and some friends from the Taleban.

In the farewell ceremony to his final rest guns were fired in the air. The official stated that it is difficult to pinpoint the burial location of bin Laden because according to the Wahhabi tradition no mark is left by the grave. He stressed that it is unlikely that the American forces would ever uncover any traces of bin Laden.

So the question is why did Trump put out a similar pic, he is sending a message to OBama and the DS players, we have it all, we know all, everything you have done is being dismantled, they have  secured documents and materials relative to the founding and operations of ISIS 

I wonder what incriminating evidence is in these documents.

    It’s more likely that McCabe dropped his case because he is going to be facing prosecution. It’s a fifth amendment issue.
