Biden Commits $645 Million Fighting Food Shortages In Latin America, Not USA!
- Ahead of the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles, the Biden administration announced $331 million in food security and humanitarian aid for Latin American nations.
- This new funding is in addition to other programs already in place focusing on addressing food emergencies in the Western hemisphere, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) already provides food and livelihood services to the people of Haiti, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.
- “This contribution will complement the United States’ existing commitment to providing life-saving humanitarian assistance, responding to acute food insecurity, and advancing capacity-building activities that bolster disaster preparedness and response” across Latin America and the Caribbean, a White House statement said.
- The total aid package amounts to $645 million and includes support for “refugee and migrant populations,” as well as cooperative efforts on “climate-smart economic reform.”

- Why are people getting away with saying that unemployment is great, only 3.5%. In addition, household debt is now close to $16 trillion after consumer debt spiked 1.7% in Q1.
- Unfortunately for those already behind, the rising interest rates will only cause them to carry a higher balance of debt. Once the prime rate rises, credit card companies will follow. The APR on credit cards is already 16.61%, nearing the high of 17.87%, on average, but is expected to rise.

That will then lead to sovereign defaults in emerging markets, and that unfolds, the dollar lender loses capital, and that is the beginning of the eventual crisis. A lower dollar would NEVER result in a massive worldwide sovereign default. When the British power collapsed to $1.03 in 1985, Americans were buying everything in sight in London. That is what would happen if the dollar dropped FIRST – the foreign capital would pour in and buy everything like a sale at Macy’s.
